Insurance premium increased 50% after one year. So I got online and got a quote for a new policy with an identical animal at the same ZIP Code with a different email address and it was 40% less than what I was currently being billed. Call them revealed nothing and were completely not helpful. Do not purchase insurance from them.PTZ Insurance Agency, Ltd. Response

I have had 2 policies with ASPCA, I finally just cancelled by 2nd policy after being denied claim after claim, even for medications, this policy is just out to make money off of you, and never pays anthing, using slow and delayed processing and tiring you out with paperwork until you finally give up, look elsewhere.Review from Cathy B

I have been a customer of ******************************************* for several years and canceled the insurance for my 3 dogs today. When I first got the insurance several years ago, one of my dogs was diagnosed with lymphoma and ASPCA was fabulous. They paid the claims quickly, customer service was awesome and they were a financial life saver. ASPCA is NOT the same company it was before because now they slow walk paying claims, customer service is horrible and submitting claims is a nightmare because the portal and website dont properly work half the time. The payout limits on preventive care is outdated as compared to the current costs of veterinary care.Review from Dina A

DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE!!!My Dog went to the vet on 4/5/22 to get check out, while there the doctor noticed that his soft palate would flap down to his tongue. She told me to make an appt with the surgeon at Metropolitan. I called and could not get in to see the surgeon, until May 3rd. At the appt on May 3rd, the doctors found that my dog was in bad shape and there was nothing they could do for him. I have to put his to sleep, I was so upset. I then submitted the claim for $ ****** to ASCAP. Today I get the response and they have the nerve to deny my claim because Beau's policy period was 4/15 to 4/15/23. Oh sorry my dog past away during the wrong policy period. That is total ridiculous what kind of Pet insurance is this. I have been with them for over 16 years and recently they have been pulling this stuff with policy periods. I want to file a claim against this company. They are ripping off the consumers with this nonsense of policy periods, insurance coverage is for illness period.Review from Alexander S

DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE. Each time (3) we filed a claim the company asks for multiple copies of medical records from the veteinary hospital. After the vet sends and I send copies of procedure/medications ASPCA e mails and will ask for records going back to claims already filed and paid for. Then they claim we ( I and vet) still did not send or they did not receive bills. Talking to them is an endless speech of IT trouble,;it is being looked it; or can you just send in this LAST piece of billing. That last issue was page two which had a recap of the invoice and future vet visits. Excues, delays, total incompetence! They have my money (premium) and now it is a battle to get what they state in their contract for services rendered. Looking for a pet insurance that cares about you and your pet? Look elsewhere as all you get here are delays, half truths, empty promises and total imcompetence.Review from Steph C.

I have been a customer for 2 years and this year they are choosing to raise my rate 26%!! No rhyme or reason Just ripping their customers off. This company does not care about their customers!! My cat is only 7 years old and her insurance rate is going from $40 to $53 for no logical reason. I am incensed and trapped. Do not ensure your pet with ASPCA insurance!Review from Denise V

Do NOT trust Reimbursement or Security. They allowed my ex to delete my Account and steal reimbursement funds due me. I have contacted them repeatedly to correct, it's only $411.00, and they refuse. I have been a loyal customer since 2008, paying premiums for multiple dogs for 14 years! My account was password protected and set up for paper checks to me. I logged on to check claim status on 3/27/22, and rec'd a pop up that no account was associated with my email! I was shocked! They told me my ex called in and was able to delete my account - I am OWNER of this account, and he stole the reimbursement via direct deposit to his bank account. I rec'd NO email, or ALERT from ASPCA that my account password was being changed. NO security, NO safety, and so far NO reimbursement which I am due ($411.00 from $2,000 in vet bills, my ded. is $500.00) I am continuing to try. If ASPCA Pet Insurance makes good, I'll repost. Go for MORE *************************** in the ******************* (where it counts) ASPCA does not provide it.Review from rick m.

DO NOT GET ASPCA INSURANCE, unless you want to get screwed!I have had ASPCA pet insurance for the past 15 years for our cat. We took him to the emergency vet because he was losing weight and suddenly, he stopped drinking. The vet diagnosed him with cancer. I submitted a claim for the vet **** for the visit and all the procedures were stated as covered. After the deductible the plan paid out only 47%, not the 80% they said they would. They claim to have paid the "Usual and Customary Costs" - Typical fees that Veterinarians in the same territory charge based on proprietary data and available industry information". We live in the ********************** so the "Usual and Customary Costs" for vets is high. The low reimbursement is understandable if they use Mississippi or West Virginia for their comparable "Usual and Customary Costs" In addition They failed to provide a copy of the Explanation of Benefits showing why they paid out 33% less than the plan said they would.I have been with ASPCA insurance for 15 years and when he did get sick they didnt live up to their promises. You would be better off putting the 25 or 35 bucks in an account to use when its needed!Review from Darlene L.
