April of 2020 I hired Miller Contracting Inc. to repair my whole roof and the siding on the left side of my house .I went through my insurance Allstate who paid them. The first delay was the ordering of siding. They cut a piece of siding out of my house(which is still missing today) to send for a match. By the time i got the siding it was 2022. At first they said the siding was not a match but come to find out it was. So **** Miller the owner said he would come out and take a look and set up a appointment time for the work to get done, he never called or showed up. I called him he apologized set another date did not make that as well. I gave it a month because my mom was in hospital for emergency surgery. After I got her situated i called and asked to be put back on schedule he then told me his dad was not doing to great that he would have to get back with me .I called periodically but he was still l going through it with his dad. So now the weather is changing I called again to ask can I be one of the first projects he finishes for the spring he said no problem sorry for the delay I asked are you sure he said he promise. I made my last call 2 months ago he said was going to send two guys to my house the following Monday(my day off) to finish up but that never happened. The siding has been at my house a little over a year. I am asking for him to either finish my siding and roof or reimburse me or my insurance company for the difference. I need him to put up my siding and replace the strip that goes in front of the roof(they used tacks to put the strip up)Business response

Hello all. We are very sorry for this miscommunication and are open, willing and available to continue these discussions of the your siding repair. Unfortunately, we do not have a contract for the siding. Only the roof, which was installed, completed and paid in full by Ms. ****** insurance company. As an after conversation, ****** wanted us to give her an estimate for the siding repair. We did not provide one because we ran into several issues from the beginning. Finding the proper color, electrical blockages preventing our crew from safely installing, etc. We do have a box of siding in the incorrect color, which has not been paid for by Ms. ******. I've attached the copy of our original contract which is for the roof of her house. We ask Ms. ****** to call our office to discuss the further possibilities her siding repair. Thank you all.Customer response

We believe that the misunderstanding is in response to the Estimate that Ms. ******' got from her insurance company Allstate. Allstate provided Mr. ****** with an estimate for repair costs they assessed. Allstate asked Ms. ****** to hire a contractor to have the work done. Our former salesman negotiated a contract with Ms. ****** to have her roof redone. The terms of that contract, a re:roof for $14,344.59, were met and fulfilled. Allstate agreed that they were willing to pay up to $14,497.42, less all of the deductibles, thus Ms. ****** received $11,371.42 for her repairs. She paid us that check, as well as cash in the amount of $2,975.00. We understand that Ms. ****** intended to hire us to redo her siding also, which Allstate included a suggested price for in their estimate. However, our company estimated the roof alone at $14,344.59 which is what our contracting with Ms. ****** is for. Ms. ****** believes that we should now include the siding, at no additional cost to her, because Allstate suggested to her the price they were willing to pay. At this point we've been working with Ms. ****** since 2020 to try and come up with an agreed upon solution for her siding. We've visited her at her house several times, and proposed the work we’d be happy to do for her. She is not happy with the outcome, and per our contract, our part of the job is done. We apologize for this misunderstanding.
