Had a new Air Handler System installed September 2020. Paid either 5000 or 6000$ for this unit. Came with a 5 year manufacturer warranty but guess they don’t offer any installation warranty after my complaint. They did not install the trap for the system to drain properly, therefore the furnace has been continuously leaking water under my floor, into my walls and my baseboard ultimately causing my house to be infested with BLACK MOLD. After finding this issue, I requested them to come out and access the situation and again was reassured by the tech that the trap was not installed properly and wasn’t allowing the unit to have enough negative pressure to work how it’s supposed to. They even told me they had THE SAME ISSUE a month prior to me. They did not offer to compensate me for the damages the improper installation caused me, but yet decided to give me a bill for the service call to come fix their mistakes. When we contacted the owner, Tom he assured us there is nothing he can do and it is ultimately our issue. He was very quick to point the finger rather than accept fault and right his wrong that has unfortunately condemned my home and made me have to stay in a hotel. I feel I am entitled to some sort of compensation for ALL the DAMAGES this has caused me.

We installed a Heat pump system 3 years ago for this Customer and properly used a P trap for his drain.(We use P traps, a manufactured trap for our industry in these installs as U traps(an exaggerated U block up fast and 100% of time). P traps are used universally in our industry so for this customer to say this was the wrong trap is incorrect. The trap has to have water in it to make the unit drain correctly and the only way for that water to come out of there is the customer has to either hit it, try to clean it and not understand how it works and to run with dirty filters and the unit would pull the water out of there. I'm not sure what happened at his house as I do not live there and cannot attest to their actions in the 3 years since we installed it. As to my Tech reassuring him that it was done wrong is an outright falsehood as he was one of the installers that installed it. Also if this unit was leaking there would be water on the floor as it would be leaking through the unit as his did and he sent pictures of the water on the floor. The very next day I sent someone out and told him to put the exaggerated U trap on it so if they didn't change filters or hit it again it wouldn't pull out of there. The problem with this is the U trap WILL BLOCK UP and will leak the into the unit again absolutely 100%. In addition we haven't heard from this Customer until the day he said it was leaking from the time we installed it, he never called to say there was water anywhere or anything, never to check unit or anything. I am not being held responsible for a customer neglecting his equipment and if it was leaking before this, he failed to contact us to remedy the issue. AC units leak when traps plug up or run dry and it is the customers responsibility to maintain the unit and if there is a problem to contact us to fix it, not 3 years later after the filter has not been changed or the drain has been messed with.

I scheduled appointment to have an ac unit serviced at a mobile home I own and my daughter and granddaughters live there. There service tech came out Aug 31, 2021 around noon on that date. He called me and said it needed R22 and gave me the price per pound. He called after he completed the work, said the unit was old, but he’d recharged it, replaced the capacitor and should be good, but at some point would need replaced. Charge was roughly $370, plus credit card service fee. Around 5:30 that same evening my daughter informed me the ac was not working. I contacted ******** another tech came out the next morning and told me the unit needed replaced. I called them spoke to ***, who said my unit was old and he’d put a new unit in for 3k and knock off 200 for my troubles. Kind of a scam. I want a full refund, they should have known or warned me before they started the work originally.

The customer called us out and upon arrival his daughter relayed to the technician that the unit that is 20 to 25 years old was purchased by her father used and installed in her mobile home. The unit was low on R22 and had a weak capacitor causing the compressor to start very hard. The technician called the customer told him how much the capacitor and how much per pound the R22 was, he gave his approval. The technician after checking the connections (that were not brazed they used push connections that a professional company would not use) that can be checked without tearing the unit completely apart charged up the system since there was still R22 in the unit and replaced capacitor, we charged him $370.00 total for all materials and labor. The next day he called us and said it was not working again so we sent another technician out and found out it was low again. Being this unit was so old and used when the customer installed it we told him it was not worth trying to tear this unit apart to find and repair a unit that is that old and was used when he installed it. I offered him $200.00 back from his initial call if he replaced his system that we have a standard rate of $3000.00 for that system fully installed which would of made his cost $2800.00 The real scam here is this customer tried to install a used 20 to 25 year old system then when it wouldn't run right called us out and wanted us to warranty it after it is past it's life span. This customer was called and told how much things cost and he knew he bought this unit used and how old it was and was looking for us to fix the mistake that he made in the first place with a system that cannot be repaired and should not even be attempted to repair being that old and using the old antiquated refrigerant that is no longer being used today
