Residential Asbestos was contracted to remove asbestos in my home. In the process of removing asbestos they broke a water line pipe. The owner *** said he would not reimburse me for their damages because he "cut me a deal" in the first place. I am hoping you can help advocate for me so that Residential Asbestos pays for the damages they caused at my home. The cost of fixing the broken hot water line was $232. I attached to this complaint and I attached a picture of the broken water line as well.Business response

In response to Complaint# ******** by ***** *****.
Regarding the complaint that our Company had broke a water line, we deny this allegation and there is no proof of this allegation other then what Mr. ***** is saying. Mr. ***** was renovating his home in multiple areas of his home at the time. The water in the house had already been shut off prior to our arrival. Which also makes me question this claim. And we have no reason to touch the water lines. We pride ourselves on our customer service and would be more then happy to take responsibility if we were at fault.In regards to Mr. ******* comment that he was "cut a deal" ; What Mr. ***** is neglecting to say about this comment was we were hired to ONLY remove his Asbestos in the basement for $3,200. Mr. ***** continued to ask for additional Asbestos Removal to be done in his home, the kitchen, the hall and upstairs bathroom. Which would have been an additional $1,200, but we did not charge Mr. ***** any additional charge for this work. Mr. ***** kept telling me he was a teacher and didn't have a lot of money. I understand this, which is why I didn't charge him for the additional removal.
It is really upsetting to see that he is filing a complaint on my good name with the BBB for $232. But I firmly need to stand my ground on this. Again the water was already off in the house when we arrived, why? and we had no reason to touch the water lines.
I'm sorry it has come to this, I take great pride in my business, work ethic and my customers.
