Their p[product crumbled with any weight put on it, they would not back up their product and put it on the seller of the unit. The unit would not have held the weight of 40 inch TV let alone 70 inch. **************** was bad and there is no resolution Horrible company and products.

I bought my first piece of Sauder furniture in 1992; an entertainment center with big opening in middle for TV two small doors beneath TV space for storage. One side has a glass door with multiple shelves enclosed for putting VHS, Tuner, Turn Table, Tape player, etc., and the other side of the TV had a door that opened out and you stored your VHS tapes (or whatever) on/in that compartment. The entertainment center is sturdy, tight and still in great shape (passed on to a friend of my daughters in 2007) looks great (has been moved to 6 different homes thru the yrs). I have several other pieces of Sauder furniture and all I can say is that I haven't been disappointed in any of them. I love their white plank collection, very nice and affordable. The barrister bookcase is a lot bigger than you think, it's gorgeous and functional; I've had many compliments. I am not paid to write this, I have always had to watch my spending (tight budget) and Sauder has helped me to do that and have nice furniture pieces. I can't imagine anyone not being satisfied with their products.Review from Nancy C

I've had to purchase 3 bookshelves from this company over the course of 5 years. None of them last, no matter how much, or how little you put on or in the shelves. I do not recommend this company, the shelves have no sturdy back panel, and any attempts to purchase extra shelves have been met with a need to either purchase a new shelf entirely, or deal with online customer service people who transfer you to 4 different agents, and inevitably disconnect you. I do not recommend this company for their product, services, or communications.Review from Chris D

I purchased the L-Shaped Desk Model 427163 from HD and when I started assembling it I found a couple Twist Lock Fasteners missing it was on Memorial Day Weekend so they were closed until Tuesday (Side note I admire a company that does that) However, first thing Tuesday morning I contacted customer service the young lady I spoke to was very helpful and said she would send me 4 Fasteners out just in case, today 2 days later they were in my mailbox, Awesome customer service Thank you.Review from Al L

I ordered a hutch. Item ******. The picture showed the hutch attached to an L shaped desk. My fault, I didn't read the description closely, so I didn't realize that the desk must be ordered separately. Fine, I ordered 2 desks which were listed on their website as: Attaches to ****** Desk and 426279 Desk 72” x 30” when used in a L-shape The two desks arrived... and didn't fit. I was then told that I cannot exchange the useless one, I had to simply buy the correct desk ****** and donate the old one for a refund. If I were made of money, this would be no issue. As it stands, I am not made of money and the whole point of going through this company was that we needed the desk as soon as possible. They claimed to ship within 24 hours. However, if we have to go through the process of donation, and waiting on sauder to issue a refund, then using those funds to order a new desk, we might as well have gone with a different company from the very beginning. I purchased a "granite" top desk. I did not know nor was I told that the granite was a paper thin coating. Of course with use the "granite" began to wear off. Good Customer service would have been to advise me that although advertised as granite it was a coating-not true granite.Review from Jeff W

I recently purchased a Sauder desk from an online retailer. While assembling it I accidently stepped on a large piece and broke it. I found their customer service site and was able to order a new piece very easily with their parts app. They shipped the replacement part within a day. I brought a dresser Model 431278 and from the start of the assembly the material was very poor quality. A side of the dresser broke and I thought I did the right thing by reaching out to the company for the replacement parts. Only to find out it’s impossible to replace parts on that cheap wood. By the time you take it apart there’s another part breaking. Worse thing I ever spend money on. I totally regret it. I will never buy from them again.Sauder Woodworking Company Response

I purchased an electric fireplace from Sauder. It came very well packed so that no damage could be done. One if the pieces had a hole that was too shallow for the screw. Their customer service was the best I have dealt with. They were very courteous and got and verified accurate replacement information quickly. The replacement part came quickly. When remote would not work the replacement process was repeated. The fireplace is well constructed. I will definitely by Sauder products again.Sauder Woodworking Company Response
