  My vehicle was stolen and 3 months paper recovered by Athens county Sheriff office in Milfield ohio. The Athens county sheriff office as well as Logan police department failed to notify me of recovering the vehicle however Logan police department is willing to cover the storage fee due to them neglecting to call me. Athens county had Curtis towing tow my vehicle to their impound lot. I was told that I could get my belongings from the vehicle however once I arrived at Curtis towing was informed I could not get my belongings until the tow bill of $235 they claim. They wouldn’t even allow me to go look at my vehicle to see the damage to my vehicle or what belongings I even have left inside my vehicle to decide if it would even be worth paying the $235 to just retrieve my belongings as they claimed the vehicle couldn’t be driven off the lot.

  Per phone conversation, the consumer and her mother went into the business and were very rude.  The policy of the business is that all tow fees are paid before the car or belongings are released.  The Logan Police have already paid their end of the storage fees, and the longer the vehicle is there, more fees are charged daily.  The vehicle was found in a tree and the charges were for the recovery of the vehicle and towing.  The car is not able to be driven in the current condition.

  I am rejecting this response because: 

  my mother and I were not rude to anyone at that company. The woman at the front desk is who was rude with us. I explained how my vehicle was stolen months before and had just been recovered. They claim the vehicle was in an accident however Athens sheriff department claimed otherwise and that it was just abandoned on an empty lot. The tow company wouldn’t even allow me to see the damages nor allow me to see what belongings of mine were left inside the vehicle. Refuse to let me even get my belongings even though there is no police hold on the vehicle. I am a victim of a crime there was no reason for that woman to bed is respectful
