Mark walberg chevrolet attempted to extort money from me via denying a valid warranty on my truck, then lying to chevy corporate that they fixed the issue under warranty which they didnt and then stating the issue was something else and unless i paid them to fix it then theyd deny all other warranty work. Because they lied to chevy saying the issie was fixed, the dealer could not resubmit a claim again for the same issue. So they made up that my leaf springs were making the noise and tried extoring money from me to fix the original issue. This was after their techs and a chevy corporate engineer came out and said different. They presented me with "pay to replace leaf springs or all warranties are void" all of this i have in recorded phone conversations and work orders. It was not until after i got a second oppinion MW admitted it was not the leaf springs and that they lied in the documents to get paid by chevy for the warranty work. I was told that chevy only pays for warranty work when it fixes the issue. Now they wont fix the issue under warranty as it would lemon law my truck.Customer Answer

As you can see in the doc (325205), they first verified the issue as a differential, replaced it and said "all ok" after testing, meaning it fixed the issue and they were paid for the warranty work. However this did not fix the issue. Had they marked it "not ok", MWC would NOT have been paid for the work warranty work. This is according to Chevy corporate.
The next doc in order is (327065) in this they are now switching from saying its the differential to rear leaf springs. They could not confirm here it was the issue so they requested a chevy field engineer.
The next document (327450) is when the field engineer came out. According to this document, the field engineer verified the issue was the leaf springs and Cole and Rick from MWC told me i had to pay to replace the leaf springs or they will not touch my truck anymore. This was a lie, the field engineer actually told them it was shifting in the axle tubes. I then told them i would get a 2nd oppinion and rick said "thats fine and if they say different they can fix it".
The next document is from spitzer (165911am) where they show they verified the issue and called chevy to see what they came up with. This is where i found out MWC lied to me. The engineer had stated that the axle was the issue and that it was under warranty. So once i went back to MWC they then started saying it wasnt the leaf springs and that they never said the engineer said this. I have all these calls on recording on my phone. They are large files. I do not know how i can get them to you. But i assure you i can verify everything i am saying.
If anymore information is need let me knoq.

I had taken my vehicle to Mark Wahlberg Chevy dealership for them to fix. The problem was I could not get it running, they got it running. Before hand they found broken wires under the fuse box and they said they fixed all the wires. I paid $635.81 on 11/20/2023 But then, I was having another problem, not being able to shut it off by the key and no throttle response, engine ran rough, and turning on high beams would make the engine shut off. So therefore it was left at the dealership for them to continue working on it. They called me the next day and said nothing was wrong with it, started it and shut it off with no problem at all. I then picked it up and took it home, once I got it home I found they did not fix all the wires under the fuse box like they said they did and it continued to have the same problems as it did. I was not able to turn the vehicle off by the key, no throttle response, engine ran rough, and turning on the high beams would make the engine turn off. So I took it back for them to fix and they said they fixed the problem and charged me an additional $187.44 on 11/29/2023 I then took it home again started it the next day and same problem came about the only difference is that I was able to turn the vehicle off by the key. They already gave me a hassle when I took it back the second time and I explained to them what was going on. Only one thing I said to the person I had talked to when I first dropped it off the second time was exchanged so the mechanic so he did not know what to do. Therefore I had to go back the next day and explained everything I had already explained again. Also they wanted to charge me for a 2 hour diagnosis for $300 plus dollars witch was not needed I said no do a one hour diagnosis for 175$ witch they did. Then said they had fixed the problem but it was not fixed and charged me the $187.44 on 11/29/2023 and they still want to charge me more to bring it back in when they did not fix the problem.Initial Complaint

I took my 2016 GMC Yukon in for service in June. They had my truck for 3 weeks to repair check engine light and blowing smoke out of the tail pipe. They supposedly fixed the truck. I picked the vehicle up from service and drove it 1 week to find out that it is not fixed completely and fouled out the spark plug again in cylinder one and burned 4 qts. of oil in 1 week. I took the vehicle back for service 4 weeks ago and now they wont cover it and got my extended warranty voided because they did not fix the truck correctly in the first time. Dan the service writer is the meanest person I have ever spoke with. Talking to anyone in the service department is very unpleasant. Now I am stuck with a truck I can not drive and have to have it towed out of the dealership all apart. Since this is their fault for not fixing the truck completely or misdiagnosing the issue when it was in service the first time they should pay for the repairs to get the truck running correctly. They keep telling me it is not a come back but it is. If the original issue was cylinder 1 and there is still an issue in cylinder 1 how is not a comeback. Please help. I tried to call corporate and they cant help since corporate is a hub and basically told me I am screwed.Business Response

Vehicle was dropped off on 6/12/23 originally. This was the first time customer has brought vehicle to our dealership. Customer stated vehicle had a check engine light on and was misfiring, no mention on repair order of burning oil. Customers vehicle was torn down after authorization from customer was given and found cylinder 1 intake and exhaust valves brunt and had excessive carbon on them. The customer extended warranty sent out an adjuster to look over the vehicles components as well. The extended warranty saw no other issue at that time. replaced intake and exhaust valves and seals Vehicle was ready on 6/20/23. Customers vehicle brought back in on 7/10/23 for burning oil. Vehicle needed to be torn down again to find what was causing burning oil issue. Customer did not authorize at first stating it was our fault. Did not start tear down till 8/1/23 when ********** and husband came in to talk to me about the vehicle. Reluctantly they agreed to tear down to figure out issue. We then began tear down and found no cylinder damage but piston rings were sticking due to carbon build up , which also had aftermarket bearings in vehicle. Called extended warranty and they sent an adjuster out again to look at vehicle and the customers extended warranty determined it was from lack of maintenance the piston rings were sticking. When I called ********** to inform her of the news she stated she has only had the vehicle for about 6 months. She said she talked to the dealership she purchased vehicle from and they would be assisting in the issue. Customer asked for us to not put vehicle back together but to place all parts in the back of vehicle so they could tow the vehicle.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The reason I do not accept this is because of the original complaint. I advised the service writer Dan that the vehicle had a misfire, check engine light and the truck blows white smoke out of the exhaust pipe. I told everyone in the area that one time I started the truck and it filled up with so much white smoke that the kids had to leave the vehicle till it cleared out. Go back and look at the cameras and listen to my conversation with him and everyone else in the service area. It is not my fault the service writer did not do his job properly and write down all my complaints. I told him on the phone multiple times on the first repair that it needed something done with the head or block needs to be honed expected. My husband even talked to him. There is no way that there was no damage done and to drive the vehicle for a week and now there is carbon build up. No one should ever get the vehicle back from service and it burns four quarts of oil in 1 week. Something was missed or engine was not put back correctly. The reason this is a comeback is that cylinder one spark plug was soaked in oil the first time and once again when I brought it back (same cylinder). So it was not repaired correctly. The job of the mechanic shop is to tear down enough of the engine to show the adjuster and explain all the damage that can be done and what needs to be repaired ( fight for the customer). If the wrong parts were on the truck they should of noticed that the first time under tear down. The mechanic should have enough knowledge to do the job completely and correctly since they are certified technicians. Since they did not repair the job correctly the first time the truck was in service. Every vehicle will have carbon build up. They should of cleaned out the engine from the cylinder being stuck replaced all necessary parts. If the warranty would not cover it they should of called and did recommendations. They had no problem charging me for an oil filter and spark plug. But now since they did not perform the job properly the first time. They don't want to admit that this is there fault for not fixing the vehicle properly the first time. This is a common issue with these engines. Also I can not be held responsible of what the previous owner did or not do to the vehicle. I want them held responsible for not fixing my truck correctly the first time and basically screwing me over for the remainder of my warranty. Cole the service manager is not a fault since he only got involved at the end. He was very nice but never understood our issues. I completely understand that they want to cover themselves. Dan the service writer is the responsible for not writing my complaints down and being very rude and disrespectful. I have never ran into someone so mean. I already have retained a lawyer and this is recommendation from them to file this because I am not in fault. I believe they owe me the repair or money to fix my truck right period.
Regards,

We can only repair what the extended warranty approves. The last I heard you were taking the vehicle back to where you just purchased from, and they were going to fix the vehicle.Customer Answer

I picked the vehicle up in boxes. This is totally unacceptable to begin with you and your company could of came up with a solution but no it like going in circles. I am not dumb when it comes to vehicles, the truck should of been fixed right the first time in service. The truck never went through oil before you repaired it. Every engine will have carbon build up from turning it on, that is common knowledge. This goes back to the first time in service. The job was not done correctly, if it was the truck would never have burned that much oil. Even if the warranty company only covered part, your service writer should of called and advise of further repair or recommendations. He called the day is was done and advised I owe for an oil filter and spark plug. Everything in cylinder 1 should of been replaced. But no he never returned phone calls, I had to stop in to speak with him. He lied to me than and said he would have it in on Monday or Tuesday. It did not go in till Wednesday. Mind you the truck sat there for weeks. We should of been notified of any wrong parts installed in the engine at the first appt. We were never notified until I bought it back for comeback you all are trying to cover yourselves and make excuses. Oh and by the way the parts are correct. If they were not the truck would of never ran. Regardless If that is the case the engine would of messed up a lot sooner. The truck was towed out of there and taken back to the dealer ship were I purchased it. They are dealing with the lawyer and warranty company. Your dealership will be next after expectation. Unless you come up with a solution/agreement to make this correct.

I took my 2017 Chevy Express 2500 to Mark Wahlberg Chevy in Avon OH for a sever front end problem. It has 64k miles and new tires. The van was pulling left of center bad! I dropped the van and Service Advisor Dan C called a couple days later' the van is fixed (Rotated tires and front end alignment). I went and took it for a ride and turned right back around with the same problem! A few days later I get a call the Shocks are shot on the front end and recommend replacing all four $919.01. a couple days later Dan C calls again, truck is fixed! I went and paid the bill and out the door I went only to take the van back in disbelieve! So home I went again leaving the van. Mind you that this is know going on for over a couple weeks, missing work getting rides back and forth, taking two different service people for rides to show them my disbelief. In the meantime I know three retired mechanics all agreed the problem was with the front brake hoses. I mentioned that to Dan C and he refused to agree to that. This story goes on and on with a lot of money out of pocket and time lost on my jobs! Finally the last time I left the truck Dan C calls and feels that the problem was resolved and wants to go with me for a ride, we did - NOTHING WAS FIXED AND THINGS WERE WORSE THAN BEFORE!! I talked with Dan C and the service manager after that road trip and they both agreed there was nothing more they could do to fix the problem and refused to make adjustments on the bills! I took the van to a friend who runs his own shop who was in agreement about the brake hoses. He replaced the front brake hoses, bled the brake lines and the truck was fixed!!!! Did I need all new shocks FOR WHAT, and never got to see the old ones!! Did I need a Front end alignment probably not! I am so discussed in the lack of professionalism and the way I was treated from the Service Manager and Service Advisor. I find it mind boggling that a Chevrolet Dealership could not fix there own product, Mike L.Business Response

Customer dropped off vehicle on 07/19/2022. We began by test driving vehicle which two different technicians went for a ride to try to reproduce the pulling of vehicle. In the technicians story on the repair order it clearly states we could not duplicate the pulling concern but during our multipoint vehicle inspection we found shocks to be leaking. We replaced shocks and test drove the vehicle again and still no pulling. He picked up the vehicle the next day 07/20/2022. He then came back the same day still stating there is a pull to his vehicle when driving with no hands and a heavy pull while braking with no hands on the steering wheel. We suggested to adjust the alignment which was not far out so we did. I went for a ride with the customer and when I drove the vehicle with him I could make the vehicle go completely straight down the road at lower speeds and on the highway. We have been yet to experience any kind of aggressive pull as he speaks of. Customer demanded his money back for repairs when we alerted the customer we could not duplicate the pull but the shocks are something we found leaking while looking over his vehicle.Customer Answer

I can NOT believe the business's response to my complaint and NO kind of settlement suggested! The whole purpose of taking my van to them was due to the problem of the van wanting to travel left of center. After Dan C. called me to say "They found the problem" and replaced the shocks I still had the same problem "NOTHING WAS FIXED! The last visit to pick up my van Dan C. went out for a ride with me and WITNESSED the van still going left of center!! I am done with this and if a resolution is not offered by the dealership I WILL take the next step, sincerely **** *
