Corporate approved me at my address but the Ashland store will not allow me to get anything because there is an account at this address matter of fact there are two at the address but they will not approve me at the store based of it but I have a separate lease the the other account holder who does not have a lease or ownershipRent 2 Own Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, this is what the manager of the Ashland store has responded:This person rents a room at a customer's house, we told them we cannot have multiple accounts at the same address as the current customer already was adding a gaming laptop and this person wants a gaming laptop at same address after we told them the current customer couldnt add anything else until we have some account history payments on what he currently has. The customer wasnt approved for an item and had stated he understands we couldnt open another account. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our home office at **************. I rent from the one in ********** ****. Do not refer anyone if you have an account. They will hold you responsible for someone else's account just because you referred them. They are very rude and will harass you over someone else's account and threaten you. Very bad store.Rent 2 Own Response

With every new customer we ask for references, that being said it is more than likely you were added at the start to this customer's account since you referred them. The people at my local rent to own in ************* isn't very good. I'm buying a refrigerator for my 78 year old mom. I told them at the beginning of the month bc I'm temporarily off of work. That it would be end of month before I can make a payment. Some how they managed to get my mother's debit card and took over $200 out of her bank account. These people should be closed down for their business practices.Rent 2 Own Response

Here is response from the store manager:He texted in that he had his payment today on 7/24 we tried to call and text to verify which card he wanted to use with no response so someone used the card that was on file. He has used that card multiple times for payments and his mother is the co-signer on his account. Payment was 22 days past due. Mana is the best in the business she always there to help with a smile on her face she knows her customerservice so always knows what we love an the delivery guys are the best special shout to Austin who brought something to me that I could have picked up if I hadn't had surgery on my foot can't walk or drive so he brought small iyen to me with a smile on his face an even took time out to ask me about my foot an talk to that meant alot to me thank you both Mana an Austin you made my day more than you knowRent 2 Own Response

Harassment showing up at people house that I do not live in. On Top of that paid a year on time and lost me job was trying to work something out. they raise the praise and told me two different settlement prices. Have not provide an actually card and someone charge the card without my consent . Went to my mother house who I do not live with leaving notices when I did not put my mother down for no reference or anything Even my mother was not happy someone leaving notice on her door that has nothing to do with her. Rent to own in Lebanon Ohio is awful, the employees are rude and snobby, if I’m a day late on a payment they hound me until they get money. Chrissy the manager is not a nice person, I thought they were supposed to be the nicest folks? Well they aren’t they should be called the meanest folks. I’m currently renting with them but I’m gonna pay everything off and not go back. They have lost a customer that has rented from them for years with no issue until now all of a sudden. Don’t come to the Lebanon Ohio location, you will be highly dissatisfied, and disappointed. It sucks I have to do this but I do not want to rent anything from them after all I’m going through with them. They used to be a wonderful company until Chrissy took over it went downhill from there.Rent 2 Own Response

The manager of the Lebanon store has said that she was aware of the payment issues, and that after you spoke to your account manager, she was under the impression that a conclusion was reached. If u feel like u want to be insulted, degraded, badgered, and belittled. Then head down to ******* **** Rent 2 Own. And ask for a man by name of ***** he certainly will accomplish all those needs. Im a combat Veteran of the ************* Army, and he called me ignorant. Keep in mind that one incompetent man shouldnt reflect on the entire business as a whole. Because they do have some good employees there. If u do visit that store ask for **** as she is very helpful and attentive and has no issues with being courteous and respectful.Rent 2 Own Response

Rent to own at wilmington horrible.. ******* ***. Their employee is horrible at customer service very pushy and rude .. she will hound u for payments even when u do pay. Thank goodness got it paid off I ask for my paid receipt she didn't say if she will mail it to me since I moved so.ewhere else and also needed copy if my contract she didn't say she would sent them .. I have gotten numerous stuff from them . I won't anymore such a rip off .Rent 2 Own Response

Thank you for leaving a review. The manager of the Wilmington store has replied: This customer was moving out of state and asked us to pick her item up. The item was deemed unrentable and we set up a plan to make payments to pay it off. She became delinquent on the payments so normal collection practices began. 1. I never received a copy or pdf of my agreement. Nor did I receive any communication through email, writing etc. (only calls and texts) about payments. Nothing with notification of payment due or late. 2. I asked to enroll in auto-pay, was told that happened. Which in the end result, did not happen and I missed payments because of that. Ultimately fell behind and had to return merchandise. 3. Employee, when attempting to reclaim merchandise, messaged me on my private social media account from their personal account. Which no where on their page says anything about Rent 2 Own. She also called from her cell phone, and private repeatedly while I was at work, with clients. She was asked to call after 530/6pm and continuously called during work hours only. 4. Employee was extremely rude when speaking and rarely identified herself as Rent 2 Own. Nor did she do so on social media. There are federal laws about #1, #3, & #4 I'm relatively sure.Rent 2 Own Response
