I had purchased a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition. Vehicle came from factory with a soft top. My original salesman was off the day of pickup and signing so I delt with ******. I pulled up to do paperwork and the Jeep was outside running already and has been washed, hand washed I believe. Walked inside and ****** greeted me and the first words out of my mouth was "if this top leaks, I'm bringing it back". ****** replied with, "bring it back if it leaks, we will handle it". Signed the papers and went on my way. The next day washed the Jeep and the soft top leaked. Called **** Martin and they told me to bring it in. Made appt with them and 2 days after dropping it off they contacted me and told it failed the leak test. Gave me a quote for $2,200. So needless to say they won't do anything about it. 2nd vehicle purchased here and this will be the last.

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I came in to pick up my new vehicle only to discover that it was already a courtesy vehicle, and the warranty was already activated almost 6 months prior. The sales manager blamed his salesman for not telling us when it was actually him, ****** *******, who stated this was not a courtesy vehicle a week earlier. From the moment the sales manager got involved he continually said that "we should part ways" instead of trying to make it right. Management stated, "we feel you are a high risk to give us a bad review after the sale to the manufacturer and it will cost us money". We did not care about any review only wanted the vehicle we purchased and an adjustment because the warranty was already active. The sales manager tried to keep pushing us away because of this dealer review and kept saying, "you're not happy, we should part ways". We asked him to make it right and he asked what we wanted. I said 1500 off because this was a courtesy car, and he quickly said "OK". We went outside to look at the jeep one more time and we came back in, and the number was only $800 off. I asked what happened to the $1500 off and he said I didn't say "ok I'll do it", I only said "OK". The sales manager kept bringing up that a bad review would cost them money and kept saying we should part ways. Once again, *** stated it's better to part ways because we feel you are high risk to give us a bad manufacturer review. We spoke to upper management who's only concern, again, was a bad review after the sale. We then sent an email to the owner of Fred Martin Superstore who could not even respond to us himself, only to have one of his partners tell us that we won't sell you the vehicle because we feel you won't be happy and are a high risk to leave us a bad review.

While we understand that you are upset we would not sell you a vehicle, your summary of the events that led to that point is inaccurate. First, you were not coming in to pick up your new vehicle because you had never agreed to purchase it. You came in to look at this vehicle after a unit you were previously considering had sold while you took weeks to think the purchase over. Both vehicles were part of our courtesy program in the ******************* This was explained to you in great detail on the first unit, and told to you again when you came in on this vehicle, as it was part of the same program. It is also why we were able to discount the vehicle at the level we were. Every time we thought we came to an agreement on the terms of the vehicle, you would change the terms and ask for additional discounts and concessions. That is when we made the decision to not move forward with the sale. Reviews and surveys are absolutely important to **; however, great customer satisfaction and experiences are ultimately what get us great scores and reviews. The decision to not sell to you was not made to prevent a bad survey or review, as you have already done this on multiple review sites. The decision was made after it was deemed you were simply a customer that could never be satisfied by anything despite our very best efforts. We wish you all the best on your future vehicle purchases.

**** responded As suspected your rebuttal would be as such that my experience didnt happen as I stated. First, I was scheduled to come in to pick up my new vehicle as confirmed by text. On February 27th, I did agree to purchase it validating that agreement with a $500 dollar deposit given to the salesman that evening and the check has since been cashed as of March 3rd. AND to this date, 3/11/25 has not been refunded. Further discussed was the agreement that I would be coming in the next day, February 28th, to purchase and pick up my new vehicle. It was NOT told to me in detail again as you state that this vehicle was in the same program. It was discovered when I went to sign the paperwork that was prepared for purchase. Even the salesmen were surprised. Again, the sales manager, *** *******, stated this vehicle was NOT a courtesy vehicle, in initial discussions, hence, the difference in price. Customers can take however long they want to decide on a purchase to make sure it is right for them and asking for additional discounts and concessions is anyones right when accurate information was not disclosed from the beginning. We had to ask to make it right, you did not. Lets go back to you stating that I wasnt coming in to purchase the vehicle. Is it common practice to place a SOLD sign hanging from the rearview mirror of the said vehicle with the customers name, salesmans name, and delivery date, if the customer was not purchasing? (Which was February 28th, the date I was coming in to finish the purchase and pick up, the pictures are pretty clear). Is it common practice to receive multiple texts (6) congratulating a customer on the purchase of the new vehicle from Fred Martin Superstore if the customer wasnt purchasing the vehicle? Oh, and what about the emails I received about my new vehicle I purchased that ************ had been activated. When I reached out to Stellantis, the *** number to the vehicle was already associated with my name, you know, the one I wasnt coming in to purchase. JEEP connect also reached out to me to ask about my experience. Perhaps at your next Monday meeting when things are 'run across the dealer's desk', your team can discuss incidents that happen at Fred Martin Superstore and everybody gets their stories straight before posting inaccurate details. Excellent teaching opportunity. Be honest, the decision to not sell to me was because you felt I was high risk (your words) of giving you an unfavorable review because the one that truly mattered would be sent to me after purchase and as I was told if not answered with a 10/10 would hit you financially. I wasnt simply a customer that could never be satisfied. Instead of owning up to your mistake and making things right, you chose to shift the blame on me, making it look like I would never be happy. Youre simply a dealership that got called out again on your shady practices. We wish you all the best on your present and future Better Business Bureau complaints, claims, and civil lawsuits.

I have no idea where all these poor reviews are coming from? I have not heard of this dealership but, they had a Hellcat that I was interested in. I live in central **** and was able to consummate this purchase remotely. I found their people to be very attentive and enjoyed the transaction. I have purchased many vehicles over the past 5 years and (based on my experience), I highly recommend this company.

My wife purchased a new vehicle on 11/29/24. Using her Mercedes as trade. Fred Martin Superstore buys out ******** leases. Everything is all well and good after we take the vehicle home. Fast forward to 1/13/25 a salesman **** ******** calls my wife multiple times and he informs her there was an error with the lease payoff on her Mercedes trade in. He tells my 8 month pregnant wife she needs to pay an additional $7,000 to cover the difference. He then threatens to stick my wife with 2 car payments (for the ******** and the Jeep we purchased) if we don't come up with the difference. Spoke to her the way no male should speak to someone's wife. After waiting to hear from ***** the sales manager, he informs us how this "error" happened and that there was nothing to do but cancel the deal and return our previous vehicle. After reviewing our options and talking to ************* Financial, the error was made when Fred Martin Superstore called **** Martin ******** for the payoff amount - Not ************* Financial who held the loan. ******** from ******************************* asked ***** why they called a separate ******** dealership instead of the actual holder of the loan to which he responded "its what we have always done" (The wrong thing). The dealership was unwilling to take any responsibility for the "error" on there end. Doing only the minimum required by law. So now we have to make 2 payments to ******** for the time they held the vehicle as well as find a replacement vehicle. ***** and **** ******** refuse to take ownership of the error and couldn't even bring the vehicle back to our house personally, had to **** it off on the salesman. Absolutely pathetic display of "customer service" I wish I could give less than 1 stars!

Bait and switch, shady sales people, lied multiple times through out the process

      Fred Martin Superstore

      Date: 01/13/2025

Hi *****- we are sorry to hear that you have a negative experience here, but we deny any "bait and switch" tactics were used here. Once we were able to review your situation more in depth, more money was required down by lenders to approve your loan, or a co-signer was needed. Other vehicles were shown as a result. If your situation changes, and you are able to obtain either of those, we'd be happy to review your options again. Thank you for your comments.

      Date: 01/14/2025

That is not what happened, no other vehicles were shown to me, he stated the money down had to be done that day when on the phone stated pick up / deferred down payment was available and then when I made the trip it wasnt. So bait and switch was very much what happened. I have reached out to every lending partner my credit was fraudulent sent to for bait and switch tactics used.

I have gotten multiple inquiries about cars from **** martin on ****** ** that i did not inquire about. I tried to report fraud by calling them because I didn't want an inquiry on my credit and the *** said there is nothing they can do. He mentioned they need an ID to purchase a car but with as much fraud and scams going around anyone can get an ID with my name. I've locked all credit reports but someone has managed to unlock them. Anything is possible now a days. **** Martin doesn't care and just wants their commission!

********- we received your email address and a phone number from a third party website on October 24, 2024. We reached out to both. The phone number we were told was bad, and we marked it as such to prevent further contact. The email was used to contact you, and we were told it was "fraud". We marked it as such. We have never run your credit, as we have nothing in our system that would indicate we should. Our system allows us to track every interaction with a customer, so we know this to be true. Further, if your credit files are locked there is no way anyone could obtain credit in your name. We would encourage you to reach out to all three credit bureaus to ensure they are properly locked; however, we do not deserve the review you have given us. We did nothing wrong in this situation, as we just merely attempted to respond to a customers request for information. Thank you.

Worst dealership. My husband was told it was a guaranteed deal. They offered him ****** via text. Then he goes there and they say nope ******. Drove over an hour to end up saying the guy he was working with had the figures all wrong and that they couldnt make a deal with him. He asked to see the vehicle he wanted and they said oh its in the detail shop so you cant see it. What a bunch of lies and deceit!! Shop elsewhere!!

Hi ****- your husband was told ahead of his visit to the dealership that we were unable to get him the number on his trade that he wanted. There was a hope that we could come up a bit once we saw the vehicle in person, but we were open about being several thousand apart. We are sorry we could not come to agreeable terms, but we did our best to let him know ahead of time via a phone call and text regarding the trade amount. Thank you.

I submitted a ONE-STAR review, because I had to choose a minimum, otherwise, there would be NO stars. We are very disappointed with the after sale. There were, and still are, issues with the jeep that **** Martin should have made good on as promised. We immediately brought to their attention the shaking, the brake dust that is constantly on the rims, the transmission not performing properly, etc. We were told to bring it back if any issues, which we did. We were told the brakes, bearing and transmission were 'almost' needing to be fixed but did not fit the criteria for repair. So instead, they wait until the probationary period was over and I would have to pay out of pocket.I had spoken to a few gentlemen in the interim and most recently, one mentioned the steering knuckle needed to be replaced with the bearing. This was the first time anyone mentioned the steering knuckle. Then was told I would have to pay for it at the reduced cost of $600+. Are you people nuts??? The vehicle should have been inspected before selling it.When we recently brought it in again, ****** advised there was a Diagnostic fee. What??? Y'all knew issues existed!! These issues have existed since we purchased it, why would I have to pay to have you check it?I submitted a ****** review for the salesman because he was great. The rest of the team? I am truly disappointed in how we were treated, hence this review. They are wonderful getting the sale, but do not follow up with promises made DURING the sale. Get the sale, to h*** with the customer.Unfortunately, I had already brought my daughter in who purchased a vehicle. Going forward, I would not recommend **** Martin to anyone I cared about.I'll chalk this up as a loss. At least we get free oil changes for three years.

Hi ******- we are sorry to hear that you had issues after the sale that were not addressed in a timely manner. The Sales Manager you worked with was unaware of any issues with the vehicle after the sale. We certainly would not have prevented you from exchanging the vehicle if that is the outcome you had desired within the allowed time frame. We appreciate your referring your daughter to us, and we hope that your ongoing ownership experience is satisfactory.

Would get a zero if possible. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I was so excited to get the vehicle I purchased. Everything was going great, then it was finance time, I believed I was only going to pay ****** a month, but come to find out when I received my first statement, the payment was ******! I went back up to the dealership to discuss this issue, I was talking to *** the finance manager, he stated I could discontinue the extended warranty to save on my payment. I was not happy with that answer, he involved the store manager ***, who was by far one of the biggest SCAMMERS out there. When speaking to me and his staff, he was very dismissive of me and my complaint. He was a bully to his employee, my salesman and basically told him to be quite when he stated to tell him that they were wrong with the financing of my vehicle. He was trying to talk to me about my warranty, this was not my issue, my issue was the fact I explained to them I only wanted to pay ****** max a month total. Yes I know I signed the contract, but I trusted them to follow through and honor our agreed amount. I would never refer to nor purchase another vehicle at this dealership. I love the vehicle and if they would of made it right, this would be a different review. Buyer beware....

Hi ****- we are sorry this was your experience at Fred Martin Superstore. *** ***** in Finance thought that you completely understood all of the paperwork you had signed, and the additional products you had purchased that increased your payment. You signed in multiple places attesting to such. He reviewed again with you on your return visit what was purchased, and how those impacted your payment. The products can be canceled, but that will only change the balance of your loan and not the payment. ****************. Car went in for timing belt and sensor. 2 days after I got it back, it almost catches fire because of oil leaking on exhaust. Then told turbo went out because it did get oil. And these fools want me to pay for their **************** techs inability to fix it right the first time. Would recommend buying nothing from **** Martin or sister store Trusty used cars. They are a racquet, they fix one thing, 3 days later, something else breaks and of course, it's not covered. Just run away from both companies.
