We hired *** for countertops and paid $3200 in July of 2020. First mistake they cut the seam in the wrong place. Second they didn’t replace it with a mirrored matching piece. I had to go pick it out. Immediately after installing the replacement piece a fissure appeared. This whole job has been a monstrosity. Twice he has repaired the fissure but it’s like pulling teeth to get him to reply! He has avoided us for an entire year for a full replacement under his own warranty! He was supposed to be here today 6/17/2023 to retake measurements but yet again he’s avoiding phone calls, and emails. At this point we are wanting a full refund. It’s obvious he’s not backing his contract warranty which is a breach of contract.

I purchased 2 remnant pieces of stone (1 quartz, 1 granite) for my bathroom vanity tops on 11/29/21 for $1,133.16. These were to be installed with my bathroom renovations to start in January, 2022. Additionally, I purchased a piece of granite 12/17/21 for replacement of a kitchen countertop for $1997.50. I was informed they could install this in these in a 4-6 wk timeframe to coordinate with my renovations. Once the Owner had the stone for the kitchen counter top I texted/e mailed to them on 2/5/22 how I wanted the template placed on the piece but wanted to see it before installation. We planned installation, with my contractor available, on 2/17/22. I did not receive any communication from the owner until I called a few days prior to the installation that the piece had to be returned due to "fissures" and had to order a new one. As of 3/1/22 I still had no kitchen countertop nor did I have the vanity tops installed. I discussed this with the owner who said he had another piece for the kitchen counter top for me to view, but at this point, after lack of communication, numerous calls to the owner and office manager for updates, excuses for delays, and failure to produce a usable product in a timely fashion, told him I wanted a refund for the kitchen countertop. He told me he would cut a check for this. I was still willing to go ahead with the vanity tops since they were remnants. He said he would have them ready in 3-4 days. I summarized my conversation and sent it via e mail to the owner on 3/2/22. I requested a full refund for the kitchen countertop. A formal demand letter was sent to the owner via certified and snail mail dated 3/25/22 requesting full refund of the vanity tops and the kitchen countertops by 4/8/22. As of 4/11/22, I have not received a call from the owner nor do I have any vanity tops or the kitchen countertop refund. I now want a refund of the vanity countertops as well as the kitchen countertop as well at this time

Queen City Transformations was enlisted to put in the countertops for a home that our company was completing that was near completion. A sizeable deposit was given to them for the work. They guaranteed an install date, and we are now past this date by over a month. I've called 1,000 times and my calls are being ignored. I showed up to the store, only to get apologies and lipservice to say "we will give you a refund, we are so sorry". Since then I have yet to receive any refund from this company. They postponed a critical project by more than 1 month, and have stolen my deposit money.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

The business never ordered the stone, this is a falsification. The owner stated they were having cash flow issues, as well as the problems sourcing the stone. I want a full refund. They did no service, have held my money for 4 months, as they sorted through their liquidity issues.

This business has not addressed the issues in my complaint including their lack of responsiveness and delays. And I would like to have a copy of the invoice for the materials purchased.
