My contact lenses exam was May 21 2024, as of today, August 17 2024 they have still not been able to provide me with contacts that I am able to see out of, they will not return my calls or answer the phone when I call, I have emailed as well, they have charged my insurance so I can not afford to go anywhere else. I just want a prescription that I can see out of, I have been wearing contacts for 42 years and never have I experienced such incompetence from a company! I would like my money refunded so I can go somewhere else to get an exam, this place is horrible and very disrespectful to their clients!Business response

I am **** *****, O.D, the current owner of Optical Fashions and am writing in response to the complaint filed by Ms. ****** ***** on 8/19/2024.
Ms. ***** was examined by Dr. ***** ****** in our Englewood location multiple times. Her initial visit was 5/21/2024 for a comprehensive eye examination with a contact lens evaluation. At that time, two sets of trial contacts were ordered. The patient returned 5/23/2024, where she had a contact lens check with Dr. ****** and trial lenses were dispensed. Ms. ***** was still unsatisfied and returned 7/19/2024, stating she would like to go back to her original contact prescription. The patient was dispensed two pairs of trials to compare which she preferred and call with results. As of this time, Ms. ***** has not followed office policy or directions from the doctor to finalize a contact lens prescription.
Ms. ***** contacted at least two of our four offices, sometimes several times a day, demanding her contact lens prescription. Currently, her contact lens prescription is not finalized by Dr. Hobson. I spoke with the patient myself via telephone and explained the policy. Ms. ***** was belligerent with my staff, yelling on several occasions. We have done everything in our power to satisfy the patient. She was seen three times and ordered multiple sets of trials to try and resolve this issue. Contacts are a medical device and if not fit properly can cause serious damage that can lead to irreversible vision loss.
Ms ***** is asking for a refund of $85.00, which we cannot provide as she has insurance that has paid everything for the service and glasses we provided her.
