Remax did not repair my garage ceiling properly and the ceiling fell on my car. I had to get it repaired and pay my insurance deductible which they did not reimburse me for. They did not replace carpeting or paint for 18 years and then upon moving out returned less that half my deposit because I didn't get the carpets cleaned which they were in great condition and didn't need it. They were trying to make me mow the lawn when it is not my responsibility it's in the lease. Their customer service is horrible and communicating only by online chat. I do not recommend this company at all. They get zero stars from me.

Terrible company. stay away from any rentals listing remax/haven as the realtor. you cannot get anybody on the phone EVER, and half the time they dont even show up to give you the tour of a property you are interested in.....absolutely DO NOT apply online, you will just be throwing away $49 they charge for an application fee.

Extremely bad communication and customer service. Once we had secured the property and went to move in we had to spend multiple days cleaning the property because the house was a mess. Finishing nails all over the floors. Grease caked on the cabinets. Crumbs in the cabinets and extremely stained toilets. We lost power August 6, 2024 for 4 days and a week later realized the power outage ruined the refrigerator supplied in the property. Once Remax Haven was notified it took 3 weeks for the refrigerator to be replaced. No sympathy from the management group or its staff and did not deduct a single dime off of our rent. On top of all of this all communication is done through a chat system that is less than reliable. I would not recommend renting from this group to anyone. After being without food for nearly a month with zero support, we began searching for a new residence. When we initiated the process of terminating our lease, the group was so disorganized in their accounting that an eviction notice was put on our door without explanation and we were later told to disregard the message.

If you ever see a company switch over to ReMax, renters beware. I lived in a building that was passed to two separate entities. I started with Holton Wise, then B2B Realty purchased, and then 2021, ReMax purchased the building under Mike Azzam. In the beginning they needed to see the inside of peoples apartments and I worked off site traveling on an off and they sent me an email saying I need to make the date. Fast forward on, they tried charging me $75 and served a notice to vacate the property at that point. I told them my profession and they relaxed. I met with Mike and him as a person doesn’t seem like his subordinates. The people who work under him or for the entity Remax, are a mess. Then after seeing my apartment, taking pictures, they sent me a message in the Tenant Portal to pay $615 deposit. I disputed this not once, but twice with each property management company trying to pull the same stunt. Why aren’t the landlords transferring the security deposits of renters who haven’t moved? Later there were a lot of issues in the building and I will admit they cleaned up very nicely. There was a lot of renovations made over time, including the garage doors on the property parking. However, a lot of the work was rushed and cheaply done which is very obvious because the garage door fell on the top of my car preventing me from going to work one day. Luckily there was no damage to my car since the garage doors were so cheap, there was no major impact. After a while they’ve done some landscaping, and they put rocks all around the building. Im unsure of what they are for but my apartment was basement level and they looked a lot better. My bed was next to my window since there is no central air conditioning and I need ventilation when I sleep, it was the best place for it. I woke up abruptly to a rock breaking the first panel of the window. If I didn’t have the window cracked, it could’ve injured me. After reporting the issue, they sent me a notice to vacate. Beware!

This company is horrible and I have only been with them about 10 weeks. The very first day they tried to charge me cleaning service to prepare the property for marketing and this was previously paid for. When I brough it to their attention they tried to blame someone else for the mix up instead of take accountability for their error. Their onboarding was a waste of time. I had questions and they could not answer any so I did not see the point of their onboarding person. They constantly tried to charge me for items that were already completed during purchase of the property. Their communication is poor within their internal teams and to customers. When requesting a call to discuss items with them they are dismissive and continue only communication by email so it takes days or weeks before full alignment. This is a complete waste of time. Due them trying to charge me for items already paid for and not checking history or having documentation of activity already completed at the property, I question their judgment and integrity. They also did not get items fixed for my tenant in a timely manner and blamed the tenant for not being home. As I transitioned to the new PM company, the issues was handled immediately and now tenants are happy. I do not trust this company to be fair and honest. They have poor processes in place that conflict with the agreement and causes confusion. Their accounting process is confusing as well and you always have to reach out for clarity. This company was a referral and I made the mistake by assuming it would work out. I will never choose this company to manage properties again. The employers are rude and unaccommodating as well. I work with other Property management companies and have never dealt or had these issues before. This was the first time I have dealt with such poor service. Going forward I will check reviews even if it is a referral. I would leave 0 stars but its not an option which should be changed.

I absolutely hate this company if you’re looking to move please look the other way they look for any and every reason to tack on charges not previously discussed. Everyone they send out to for repairs always tells me exactly what needs to be done and they’ll say that they gave them a good report which is a LIE everyone they contract says they’re a horrible company the workers they send out knows they’re full of bs and they’ll try to warn you.. I had a plumber come out and he told me my toilet was out dated and that he would urge them to replace it because toilets are only good for 10 years and mines has been there for 17 years!!! It hasn’t properly flushed since I moved in and when I requested that they send someone out they tried to charge me lying saying that the plumber reported no issue, even though he & I discussed it was definitely an issue.. Then I had an electrician come out and found out that my socket wiring was faulty all through my house from water damage & the house could have caught fire at anytime I literally had to beg them to fix it, that took nearly 2 months I recently just returned back to my job from maternity leave so I was late on my rent obviously I was charged a $35 late fee I didn’t have an issue with that now the company is trying to tack on a first $165 dollar reinstatement fee for what I don’t know because I paid the rent & late fee before the month was even out now that $165 charge has jumped to a $350 charge and because they’re are no phones to reach the office there’s never anybody to explain how that’s even legal I believe they have no phone because they know they’re wrong 25/8, Like I said it would be a mistake to go into business with them this is my first and last year with this company please read the reviews before signing and thing or giving up your hard earned money Angel in the office has a Nasty demeanor and a smart mouth very unprofessional. If I could leave 0 stars I would!!

Feels like a scam I walked into. No actual landlord to address . I haven’t slept in my new rental one night due to the central air not properly working. The maintenance department states the home does not come with C/A while the home was listed on multiple rental sites as a feature. The C/A unit dose work, it blows hot air instead of cool/cold air. I have a small child and we have not been able to fully move in. They took my money of course and now I’m stuck with no one to contact about this matter beside- an online chat group the have on their ReMax haven realty site. The washer and dryer that came with the home is also rusted and unable to be used properly- there are no blinds in any of the windows. The refrigerator was filthy and disgusting. This is a nightmare. All over again! I just moved in and im considering leaving if this is not addressed. I also have saved my home searches - where the home was listed as having central air. Now their 3rd party maintenance team is saying the home does not have central air and that was misinformation on the site. That’s not my problem or concern. Upon seeing the home - I was told yes there is central air.

From the day I signed the lease, representatives of Remax Haven have been nothing but rude and difficult. They are unreachable by phone even in emergencies, and you're forced to chat with them online to discuss any issues. I'm a great tenant with good credit and a good rapport with landlords. I'm quiet, I keep the place clean, and pay my rent on time (often early) - there is no reason to be this disrespectful to someone who is fairly easygoing when there are people who are actually difficult. Specifics: When I moved in, they didn't inform me that the building is not wired for ethernet, leaving me to open an account with a provider I had to close because another cable provider has a monopoly on the building. They're probably getting kickbacks from said provider. I reached out to them about excessive noise from my upstairs neighbors. They told me I needed to resolve it myself or otherwise call the police. This is after repeated attempts of asking my neighbors to tone it down with no success. What are the cops going to do outside of making it worse? The building's front door was broken and sitting open for a month and a half before they fixed it. The building is right off a main road in Cleveland, but apparently theft and safety are not issues they care about. Most recently, there's been very gradual water damage in my unit bathroom from moisture/water leaking from above (probably the seams between the bathtub and the floor). The plumbers reached out to me during hours I was unavailable (8am), then the office scheduled a "mandatory appointment" on my behalf and charged me $50-$100 for a locksmith that wasn't needed since I work from home. Expecting my rent to go up when I renew my lease, which I'm unfortunately forced to do. Absolutely unreal at how they don't care about their tenants. All you need to do is look at the responses on this site and their Google reviews to see just how little respect they have for people just trying to get housing.

This is a horrible, unethical company!! For the past 3 years they have been charging an additional (mandatory) $30.00 per month. For as they say: Emergency heater rental, reporting to the credit bureau, and home buying assistance, which I find to be bogus. They will not replace worn carpet or replace worn floors, we have been tenants in this home for over 12 years, long before Remax obtained it. They absolutely seem to have no compassion for people, it's all about the money with this company. I would not use Remax Haven for anything once we are gone. I would not recommend them to anyone for anything! You cannot call, you cannot go into the office, everything is done via chat.
