In October of 2021, we had a grinder pump installed by G-Tech Plumbing. The pipe started leaking on October 29. I called (which was a Saturday) but the voicemail was full. I emailed that day as well (******************* *o response so Monday, I tried calling multiple times to the Belmont Ohio number. No way to leave a message as the voicemail was full. I called the Columbus number and left a couple of messages the week of October 31. I even sent a ******** message on October 31 as well as responded to one of their posts on ********* The pipe ended up busting that week several times and left waste water all over my basement storage area. I had to call another plumber to do the repairs. The original pipe installed was a little crocked which eventually caused the busted pipe. The lid to the grinder pump is not bolted down either. So I can only assume the vibrations and crocked pipe lead to the issues. I have pictures of the pipe and the damage. We've had a grinder pump for the entire time we've lived in the house and the pipe has never busted like this. Being the work was done within the last year, I don't think it should have had any issues.Initial Complaint

On April 1, 2022 I found water gushing from the area around the water meter. My husband called the water department to get the water shut off. We had a very high water bill the last few months. Fixing toilets still did not fix it, so we knew that we had a leak somewhere in the line. My husband called several plumbing contractors and no one called back but G-Tech. The man G Tech came out that evening and gave my husband a price of $6000 to replace a line that is about 40 feet. I was not home or I would not have agreed on that price. My husband has not thought clearly since he had covid then was in the hospital 6 times for a lung fungus. He wanted to get the water problem fixed and agreed. They came out the next day to replace the line. The job took about 9 hours. When they turned the waterback on, the meter was leaking, so the contractor called the water department. They sent a man out with a new meter. Upon arriving, the man from the water department noticed a piece of the pit for the meter had been cut off. He asked the man from G-Tech about it and he said that he cut it off. The man from the water department told him that the part had to be on there and that he would have to pay for them to repair it. He refused. A few weeks later, we received a letter from the water department wanting $1318.88 to repair the damaged property. My son and I went to the meeting and were told that we needed to contact our contractor to get him to pay for the damages. My husband called and left a message that night. A week later he had not replied. I have sent 3 text messages and still no response. He is the one who cut the piece off and should be responsible.
