My 17yr old son bought tires from Katz(******)paid over $1200 for 4 new tires. I am contacted this company because this Katz is the corporate headquarters. He got a flat, under 500 miles on the tires. The right rear tire was all bubbled up on the outside. The lug nuts were not tightened like they should be. There were no new weights on these tires if they balanced like they said. Your ****** store would not replace his tire. They had him buy a new one. This is wrong obviously your company has no warranty on tires. What if this tire would have blown out and made my son wreck????? My son is 17 and works his butt off and to be taken advantage of is wrong.Business response

His tire went flat due to picking up a screw, unfortunately tire was beyond repair.

Why could they not fix his tire or give him a new one?????? You ripped my son off. He was sold a defective tire!!!! Whatever that u say was in probably came from your dirty shop! The lugs were not tight and no way they were balanced !

I purchased 5 new mud tires for my jeep wrangler JK. I stated that I was going to take the old tires with me because I didn't want to be charged for a disposal fee. The gentleman stated, "we'll take care of it...no charge" I told the man thank you, but the 5th tire is NEW and I was keeping that one. He said "that's fine, we'll put it in the back"...I said thanks...but they kept the tire. I just want my tire, a new tire, or the value of the tire they decided to keep.Business response

Good morning we don’t decide to keep the consumers belonging to the consumer has 30 days to pick up his belong as if he does not pick up his belongings within a timely matter 30 days it is disposed of if he has an agreement with the employees in the back to do something that has nothing to do with the company. On February 25 I replied to an add about buy one get one free from Katz tires. I’m the middle of the conversation they changed the add and I said something to her about it and she replied that they would still honor the add . I have a receipt from less than 6 months ago the price for a rim and she will not sell me the rims for the price that was advertised.Business response

With the current conditions the way they are in the world the way it’s headed there’s no way we can honor any prices with six months difference I apologize about the inconvenience to you but there’s nothing we can do at this time about us having buy one get one free we have never had thatCustomer response

I brought my car in to be serviced. They were supposed to repair wheel / tire damage. After payment, the indicator tire light was still on. They stated that I had to drive it for a couple of blocks to have the sensor reset itself. I drove it for 8 blocks, still didn't reset. I drove back to the shop. They then stated that I had to pay an additional $200 so that they could either cut the wire to the sensor or install sensors that they claimed weren't there to begin with. They got extremely belligerent and threatened to call the police because I stated that I was unhappy with the lack of service. The car drives no better than it did when I brought it in. This is cheating and is a scam. These people are crooks.Business response

We have talk to the customer he came in first initially for a tire repair both of his tires were leaking around the rims he did not indicate that he needed TPMS replacement to start with After the two tires were repaired the indicator light came on we gave the customer credit back towards his sensors he is purchasing sensors would you pay $200 correct but we also repair the tire in credit him on the repair on the tires which did not resolve his initial problem he does not allow us to complete the work and shot to make a complaint we have no problem taking care of the initial incident if he would just give us the patience and allow us to do it correctly as he should know as everybody in the United States is suffering currently with staffing shortages the consumer needs to be patient with us and we will take care of the incident no problem but there will not be a refund at all because there are parts in the vehicleCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because:The problem is not resolved. They claim that they cleaned the tire rims and topped off the air pressure. There are no parts involved. When I complained that the sensor light was still on, they claimed there were no tire sensors, they claimed they needed replaced, then suggested that they cut the wire so the light would go out!
When I calmly called them on this, they threatened to call the police. Obviously, not an action one would take if they were confident in the work they did.
All I'm getting is double speak and they are not telling the truth. I would like a refund of money spent and I will take my car to a more qualified mechanic for repair.

When you initially walked in the store you never asked for the parts to be installed the parts cost 50 per wheel you were charge 25 we told you we would issue you a credit towards the part you refused do you want us to do the work for free which we are not doing have a good day we will not do nothing for free we are a for-profit business and would you refuse your business we don’t want you coming back at allCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because:As defensive as they may be, the problem is still not fixed. Do they stand by their work or not? Apparently not. I strongly suggest that any future customers who may be reading this, think twice and take their business to their competitors.

Location: ********** **** ***** 10/13/2021 Time: 1:13PM TPMS tool was broken. Inconveniently had to go to another location (Main Street) to have tire sensors set to my car because their tool wasn't working. Also, employee Antwon knowingly allowed me to drive my car in an unsafe manner that could result in damage to my car, or having an accident. Employee Antwon took my money, knowing he didn’t put the appropriate hub rings on my car with the rims & tires. Only after I came back to complain about my car shaking did he acknowledge the rings hadn’t arrived & they didn’t put them on my car. Antwon told me the hub rings would be there on 10/15, but they didn’t come. Antwon also began texting me talking mess because I gave them a negative review. I told him I was going to contact corporate owner to complain too, & to stop texting me. I have to keep going back & forth to the location, wasting my time, gas, etc. Fix my car ASAP, don’t take money until done, & apologize!Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Theyre playing games like theyre trying to resolve the problem, & theyre not. I dont know whos responding to these messages, but Ive dealt with multiple **** employees who have my direct phone number & email. So, theres a communication issue on their end. Ive been back & forth to different locations over the past 2 weeks, including this morning, & they still havent resolved the problem. I had to take my car to another business to resolve, & the district manager said he would not reimburse me, even though he wasnt present for our appointment due to an emergency issue. Now, Im going to give whomever here my info one more time, & please stop acting like I havent given you my information or Im being difficult here. I am rejecting this response because:Ive been to two your locations more than I wouldve like to, & unfortunately after spending over $3,500.00 dollars for four new rims & tires, you couldnt fix the problem. Plus, your employee ****** was non disclosing over what he knew to be fraudulent, & texted me from his personal phone talking smack to me because I complained about he he did & didnt do. He also took my money & didnt say anything about the problem until I came back to the shop after discovering the problem. That was DISHONESTY, DISRESPECTFUL, DANGEROUS, & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERIOD!!!!!! I had to take my car somewhere else to fix what you created & couldnt fix twice, then be told youre not going to reimburse me. Who wants to keep wasting time, money, etc. running back & forth to a business who cant fix problems they created??? Bottom line here, I will never recommend K*** ****s to anyone or give any favorable reviews. My complaint here stands!!!!!

Katz Tires AT **** * ****** ********* *** ********* ** *********** ************ I WENT HERE TO GET MY TIE RODS FIX ON MY MAXIMA, A FEW MONTHS LATER I HAD THE CAR CHECK OUT AGAIN BECASUE I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED MORE TIE RODS, SO WHEN THE CAR PLACE TOOK MY TIRE OFF THEY SAID WHO EVER WORK ON YOUR MAXIMA LAST THEY CRACKED MY STEERING KNUCKLE WHERE THE OUTER TIE ROD MOUNTS IS CRACKED, I HAVE A PICTURE AND YOU CAN SEE WHERE THEY CRACKED IT, WHCIH I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT !!!!!Business response

The customer work with us a year ago the work we did was nothing to do with the work she says is messed up with her vehicle right now the work has been done over a year ago there’s no way that the work we did messed up what she had we have the right to refuse a customer this customer we do not want to work on her vehicle ever again please make it clear to her not to come back to our establishment thank you and have a wonderful day
