The issue is centered around the inability to cancel their pet care plans, repeatedly, for years. A plan was purchased for a new puppy in January of 2020 and I immediately requested it not renew and requested a cat plan cancel that April. I was assured by the front staff that both requests were taken care of only to discover they were not and I was on the hook for yet another year. This process has continued year after year with the former puppy plan as well as a cat plan. The plans can't be effectively cancelled! As recent as June of 2022, I discovered the cat plan had again renewed in April and I couldn't cancel until renewal and the dog plan was still not cancelled and set to renew in January. So once again, with my adult daughter present, I requested to the Vet Tech and to the front staff that both the dog and cat plan are to be cancelled and I was assured they were both set to cancel. So, I called in December of 2022 only to discover both plans were still set to renew. I again requested they be cancelled this time with email proof and I waited on the phone until I received both emails. Imagine my surprise when I was billed $61.99 on January 5, 2023 for a dog plan that cancelled. Their response when I called I "requested" the plan cancel on January 13 (the "official" renewal), but they bill for the month on the 5th. Helpless to cancel these plans I finally called my cc company who listened to my situation and promptly placed a stop payment on the $61.99 January payment for the dog as well as the $39.99 payment on the cat and any future payments. Animal Care is now threatening me with late fees and all kinds of ugly repercussions when all I have EVER tried to do is cancel the plans...for years. We have spent thousands with multiple animals. It's time for this relationship to end.
