We had adopted a puppy from petland on 7/9 where he seemed to be doing good when we brought him home that evening. Sunday 7/10 he had only ate a couple bites of food all day but otherwise refused to eat and had diarrhea multiple times that day so off of the paperwork that was included we had gotten a guaranteed paid doctors visit that we could use within 14 days but we had to see *****************. We scheduled the appointment for Monday 7/11 where we were told to bring a p*** sample and information on the current food we were giving him. When we came in that afternoon, we got checked in and went into the room that felt we were straight in the 80s. None of our information was recorded since the only computer they had there was the front desk, there were empty containers around the sink from whoever was in the room previously. The doctor came in and looked at our dog for not even 2 minutes. took his temperature and said since that he looked normal the dog was probably nervous of his new environment and should start eating soon. He gave him two antibiotics and a fluid of IV. When we handed him the p*** sample he said that he did NOT need to test this since there is no blood in the stool. However, if he had take an extra 5 minutes to check him he would have found that our puppy had Parvovirus. Unfortunely the next day 7/12 when we were in the process of reaching out to a new vet clinic since, our dog continued to not eat and started to not even want to have water. We had to rush to the emergency room since our dog went into shock and passed away. The first thing the emergency room had asked us was if we wanted to test him for parvovirus which it did come back positive. I believe the doctor ****** spent time with us since we had to come in monday after work about 30 minutes before their closing time and that they had made an agreement with ******* to be their vet for new dog owners so they knew this visit was going to be unpaid and did not respect the visit as if it was paid.
