The contractor, ***********************, did not complete the work, yet was paid in full. He started the job in the Spring of 2021. He stated he would complete the work and has yet to do so. The custom cabinets are peeling, some of the cabinets dont close correctly, he hasnt installed hardware and left sections uncompleted.Business response

The business owner informed BBB that the business has been out multiple times to complete punch list items for the consumer.
The consumer contracted for a scope of work and then cancelled a big portion of the contract. The consumer later changed his mind and wanted the entire contract completed. Even though it was late in the project the business completed the work.
The consumer's wife has continued to make additional requests for work, for which the husband does not wish to pay. The consumer is now asking that the knife drawer be changed to a spice drawer. The business will not perform any additional work for the consumer unless the consumer pays for it.
The project is complete according to the contract. The business requests that the consumer provide a list of things he feels are not are not completed so that the items can be compared to the original contract and drawings.

I am rejecting this response because:
His statements are false. I have an uncompleted kitchen, photos, along with testimonials from other contractors will prove this. The scope of work and contract will show that he was paid in full and has yet to complete the work. Interesting fact, ****** has called me several times over the last 6 months to say he will be out but then comes up with an excuse to not show. unfortunately I paid them in full thinking he was going to complete the project and shouldve withheld the final deposit at this point were not going to come to an agreement and Id like to post a complaint on his Better Business Bureau so that other customers will understand what theyre potentially going to deal with. This couldve been solved very easily ****** just didnt want to drive the two hours that he originally was fine doing to complete the work.
