Paid Fountain City Irrigation $100 for Spring activation and to inspect/adjust sprinkler heads; work was not completed. Subsequently discovered leak and scheduled Fountain City on three separate occasions to come out and repair leak. They were no show all three times, did not bother to call or text to let us know they could not make it. We contacted another contractor who came out the same day, fixed the leak caused by an improperly installed supply line connector, replaced one defective sprinkler head and additionally adjusted three sprinkler heads for which he was paid $250. It is obvious ***** never performed an inspection of the irrigation system, or blatantly overlooked these obvious issues. Owner ***** did not apply for permit which is required by Allen County Building Department so irrigation system installation was never initially inspected either. Fountain City Website makes the false claim that they are Punctual, Professional & Complete; far from the truth. We are requesting $350 in costs incurred due to failure to respond, shoddy workmanship and payment to other contractor who promptly responded and remedied all issues.Business response

There was never 3 times we were scheduled to come out. We gave him a date and he said that's not good enough. It was his choice for another company to come out.

I am rejecting this response because: We have neighbors that can attest to the same poor service and lack of showing up for scheduled appointments. We stand by the original complaint and request as detailed.

We contracted with Fountain City Irrigation in July of 2022 and as the attached document will show have had nothing but difficulty in getting the work done. As a result we’ve had to spend thousands of dollars to have the issues that they left us with, repaired and or completed. We’ve also found, from having another company come out, that we do not have the complete set up as per our contract. We’ve reached out to Fountain City on numerous occasions and if they did reply, which is infrequent, they’ve not followed through. Outside of the written contacts as shown in the attached chronology we’ve had several in person or phone conversations but they were unfortunately not recorded. We’re asking for assistance in getting reparations for the money spent out of pocket for the repairing of the issues and for the final product that has yet to be set up or even acknowledged.Business response

Yes, we were contracted to install a irrigation system for *** *****. Fountain City Irrigation installed a fully operational irrigation system along with gathering all permits required by the Allen County Building Department in Indiana, which in finishing the install we are required to call in for a final inspection which was called in and also was passed by their inspector.
After finishing the install, we did not have a "rain sensor" which was part of the original contract due to it being on back order. We have reached out to *** and agreed to drop off the rain sensor and she will have her new service provider install the sensor.
Here at Fountain City Irrigation we strive on our customer service but unfortunately in human nature we can't always satisfy everyone. The services were rendered per our customer contract and we don't feel or understand why we should refund anything. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: As of 26 June 2023 Mr. ******* of Fountain City Irrigation has still not provided the final product in full by giving us the rain sensor as he stated he would in an email to me on 14 June 2023. We are still out the money that we had to pay to someone else to come out and fix the sprinkler heads to appropriate heights as Mr ******* stated in an email from 17 Feb 2023 and in person when installation was completed in the fall of 2022, would be taken care of at startup in the Spring. As stated in our complaint we would like reparation for those charges since they could not be avoided as Mr ******* did not come out to our home to do this as he stated he would be out to do in an email from 17 Feb 2023 and a text from 15 Apr 2023. This should have been taken care of as part of our contract as part of the 1-year craftsmanship warranty and thus seen as a breach of contract. I've included a copy of the invoice we received from the new irrigation company and have previously shared it with Mr *******. There will be additional charges for installation of the rain gauge when and if Mr ******* does finally provide it.
Sincerely,
*** *****
