On 2-29-24 I contacted Mr. ****** ****** at Steel Valley Moving and requested that his company pick up my industrial sewing maching from my residence at ********************************************************* and take it to ******************************, ***************************************************, to be repaired. They picked up the machine , placed it in the moving van but did not strap it down. I followed them in my car to McCormicks Vac and Sew and when they went to unload it , ***************************** (owner of the shop) and myself noticed that the machine has been damaged during transport. The two obvious damages were the computer screen was broken and the thread holder had been busted off. The two gentlemen that transported the machine then contacted ****** ****** and took pictures of the noticiable signs of damage. They said I still needed to pay for the move but i told them that they just broke my machine and I didnt feel that I should pay for this. We plugged the machine in and the computer was not working and the presser foot was locked up. ***************************** told me that he would look at it and see if could be repaired. As I was on my way home, I received a call from ****** ****** and was told that they had insurance and that he would get it taken care of. On March 5, ***************** to McCormicks Vac and Sew to see the status of my machine, and was informed that the shaft was busted and it could not be repaired. I called three places in ***************** which carry this brand of machine and got estimates for such. Since I needed this for my work, I went and ordered it from The Industrial Sewing Machine Man, ************************************, who had given me the cheapest bid. I received the machine on 3-11-24 and sent ****** ****** a copy of the invoice via text message. I also asked him when i should be receiving reimbursement for this and was told that he did not know if he was going to turn it into his insurance or just pay out of pocket. I sill have not heard anything back from him
