  For the total cost of $2,700 a chimney stove pipe was installed on September 9, 2022 for a new wood cook stove. After installation and before using the stove, multiple areas of water damage appeared on my ceiling comprised of one very large area and two smaller ones. When I called him, the owner of the business, Mr. Jeff ******** assured me, "we take care of our customers" and twice he went up onto the roof attempting to stop leakage by applying goop, first around the stovepipe and later over a wider area of the roof. Today I wrote the following email to Mr. *******: Dear Jeffrey, I am writing because you had informed me you were going on vacation so rather than call, I am writing and also I want you to have a written record of what I am about to tell you. The leak is due to your substandard installation of the stovepipe for my wood cook stove. I had a roofer come and photos were taken. The boot that goes over top of the flue pipe, that is what ties into the shingles, and it should have been under the shingles instead of on top of the shingles. The goop you put up there twice onto my roof does not fix the problem of your poor installation. The roofer wants to wait until Spring and my cost will be $240 plus tax which I want you to pay! I am notifying the BBB and will notify ****** ****** Company in Canton because your name was given to me by ****** Supply in Canton and I want them to be aware of what you have done.   At this time, I have NO RESOLUTION from Jeff ******** owner of the Canal Fulton, Ohio The Chimney Doctor regarding complaint ID ********. I wrote to you in detail of his repeated verbal harassment to me on the phone, trying to pressure me to drop my BBB complaint and telling me "this will get real", at which point I filed a police report in January 2023. Nothing has changed since. I am facing additional cost to repair my roof once the weather permits the roofer to work. Also, I am paying for an experienced installer to come in March prior to the roofer to inspect the actual stovepipe assembly in the house, attic and on the roof before I would dare fire up my stove for the sake of my safety and peace of mind, considering the incompetence and unprofessionalism I encountered from The Chimney Doctor.
