      I have to say, from the second they showed up to give me an estimate, I just felt at ease and could tell this was the company to go with. Nick and Abbey were outstanding. There were a few unexpected issues that arose during the job and they had a solution and fixed it and even corrected some of the short cuts the builder did. Everyone who came to work on the project were curious and polite and they are very clean and I appreciate that! When they were finishing the project they had an eye for detail and their response was “If it would drive me crazy, I know it would drive you crazy” (and we are talking the tiniest attention to detail). Will be hiring them again for my next project!

      Nick and Abby were very professional. They installed a backsplash in my kitchen. They did a great job. It looks beautiful. Impeccable attention to detail.

      Guy's completed an upstairs tile backsplash and a basement tile shower surround for me after I had a falling-out with another contractor. They worked with me on using materials that had already been purchased. Their pricing was reasonable and competitive and the installations superb. Throughout the project Nick was responsive and professional and Dan and crew consulted me on layout options and details. They started and finished on schedule, worked quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption and cleaned up daily. I recommend them to anyone looking for tile installation services in Akron or the surrounding area.

      Surprised to see Guys Tille & Flooring on the BBB site; and MORE surprised to see that they are an BBB Accredited Business! Made MANY calls & left SEVERAL messages. Difficult to even get Nick to return a call. Then, when he finally came to look at our job, info & time frame he gave us was changing ALL THE TIME! Nick stated his brother does all the work; and is VERY busy. Told me one price, then when we got the actual quote many months later, the price was RIDICULOUS HIGH!!! Nick seems to not be able to remember whatever he tells home owners re: time frame, job, & price... A friend also had the same thing happen to her. One brother does all the work; and BOTH make top dollar on your job! I was verbally told our job was $5-6K. Estimate was over $13K! (And AGAGIN the time frame changed for the 6th. time...) That is a substantial difference for sure! VERY SHADY... Buyer please beware... Something is VERY wrong here...?

      Hi ******, I'm sorry my estimate has been weighing on you since Dec. 2021. I think you have given out some misinformation. When we talked, I have you the estimate for labor cost only. Prices change on material and I stated I would line itemize everything in the estimate, which I did. I still retain that estimate. Total estimate was $9,341.66 with materials. This is to do a custom shower with tile pan, tub surround, and backsplash in your kitchen. This also included tearout. Labor was $7200 of that, so close to what I told you in person. That was with $800 in tearout. The fact that my brother does our installs and I take care of the management side of everything doesn't make us a shady business. It allows us to focus on the aspects of our own jobs and run the business more efficiently. I'm sorry you felt the need to contribute to our illegitimate negative reviews on here. I would have appreciated an honest feedback and not an exaggerated one.

      On 8/16/21 entered in contract with Nick C. our start date for job was 10/18/21 . Got call from Nick C on 10/16/21 to confirm start date and received text from Nick @ 12p m saying all materials are in to do work. Nick C calls back on 10/17/21 to state that now our job has to push back to 12/9/21 or refund deposit. Nick states that he cannot do ours because he spent to much time on current job but never stated that in previous day call to confirm start date and that instead of pushing other jobs back also which would be the right thing to do he just said basically to bad for us. If you have been doing work you know how long it takes to do the job he just overbooked himself and now on thumbtack he is unavailable to do other work. We tried him as the same thing happened to us before people saying they can do work on certain time frame and 5 months later cannot even give you a time and now Nick has wasted 21/2 months more of our time to do work. The same can happen to anyone else who uses his company

      Although I agree with almost everything Mr. ****** has said, I never told him "too bad for you". I don't treat my customers that way. I'm sorry that we fell behind on a previous job. It was an accumulation of 2 things beyond our control that pushed us out two weeks. I tried to get caught up by working the weekend and it just didn't happen. I called Mr. ****** to offer to get him on our schedule for Dec. (We are booking into Feb. 2022 at this point) or issue a full refund of his deposit, which he decided on the later. This is the first time in the 3 years of our business being open that we had to push a customer back. I was hoping Mr. ****** would be more understanding, but since this has happened to him before, I understand his unwillingness to continue to work with us. I don't feel this warrants a review since we never performed any work for him. We will continue to do our best work for our customers and learn from our past mistakes.
