Phillip K***** (Fix It Phil, ************, *******************) was hired to remove RR ties along a brick walkway & landing & replace them with stones along with trimming all shrubs & replacing a handrail. $1,000 cash was his cost with half down. He arrived May 7, received $500 and bought stones from *****s in Stow. He pulled the ties from one side of the walk, placed stones and left the ties on the patio impeding the opening of a gate & causing a huge hazard. He told me the stones he bought cost more than expected ,he spent the whole$500 and demanded the remaining $500. I gave him the extra cash. May 8, Arrived late afternoon with hand clippers to trim bushes with his son. Did not finish job & told me he would return Sat or Mon w a friend to remove ties &finish whole job. Mon, 5/13 No Show. Did not respond to txts or calls Tues, 5/14 My sister called & spoke to him. He arrived very apologetic stating his phone had fallen in a bucket of water. The RR ties were moved into driveway, one across the sidewalk, & he told me his van would not hold the weight. There were no materials to finish stone work in his van. One tie was reluctantly placed into car while leaving the other across sidewalk! Metal snips were used to attempt trimming of bushes. When I walked away, he & his friend jumped into van and peeled out of driveway. He has not responded to txts, calls or email. Per *****s, Phil bought 80 stones for $194.71 cash He is on ******* website. I called them to report him. They made a 3 way call to him telling me to speak when he answered. He told me I had wrong number. When ******* intervened, he hung up. This man has scammed my 96 yr old mother. Per 3 different professionals, the stones were grossly improperly placed. They are sinking & threatening the integrity of the brick walkway. The shrubs were hacked ,forcing me to find someone to fix them. Now I must find a stone mason to fix the damage he has caused. He needs to return the money less the $194.Customer response
