I am old and handicaped, and on fixed income. I haven't contacted the business, and I never will. On 1/18/2023, I paid $496 to have a draft inducer installed on my furnace. I am sure I was overcharged several hundred dollars. I.E.: The part replaced was a ******* ******* draft inducer. This is easily available for $70 to $130 depending on the maker. Elsass charged me $371, plus another $45 to get a #****** combustion motor assembly. $386 over charge.Business response

Regarding complaint #********
On January 17, 2023, the customer contacted our office at approximately 1:30 PM with a no heat at their residence. A technician was given the dispatch and arrived at the customers home at 3:26 PM on January 17, 2023. The technician identified the inducer motor wheel had fallen off and was able to get the furnace operational temporarily until the replacement part was located. The combustion blower assembly/ inducer motor was located and would not arrive until the following day, January 18, 2023. The customer was informed that the combustion blower assembly/ inducer motor needed to be replaced and the combustion blower assembly/ inducer motor (part + labor) + diagnostic fee + parts procurement fee cost was $496. The customer verbally consented. The technician left the home around 4:39 PM on January 17, 2023.
The part was delivered to the Elsass Heating & Cooling, January 18, 2023, sometime in the morning. The office contacted the customer the morning on January 18, 2023, to schedule the technician back to make the repairs. The technician arrived at the customer’s home around 12:30 PM on January 18, 2023. The technician installed the new part. The customer signed the “Authorization” to perform the work and the “Acceptance” of completion of the work. The customer then paid the technician, and a copy of the paid invoice was sent to the customer via email on January 18, 2023. No complaint was communicated at any point.Sincerely,
