A vehicle I had at my apartment complex was towed under contract due to having a flat tire on Wednesday August 30th. I was advised that there was a tow fee of 175 and two days of storage at 40 a piece. These fees are higher than Ohio allows. After calling, I showed up on Thursday to retrieve my personal property from the vehicle they told. I was told I could not get it without at least a deposit towards the car. I still have a right to my personal belongings irregardless of the car (a view backed up by Ohio codes).Business response

Conley's Service & Towing was contracted to remove vehicles from **** ******* *** ***. on 8/30/23. We removed a ***** * that had a flat tire, sitting on a jack.This vehicle was tagged numerous times for parking violations. The owner came to our establishment 2 days later to remove his personal belongings. He was told that he had to pay a deposit to remove any personal effects. This is a policy that the ****** ****** Dept enforces at their Imp.lot as well. We charge a $25.00 gate fee to escort an individual to their vehicle to remove any type of belongings or documents. At this time would accept the title of the vehicle for the charges that have incurred. The owner at that time can clean out the vehicle..This is the sign that we have hanging by our window. see attached.Kindest Regards,

To whom it may concern;
In December 2020, Mr. ****** had his brake lines replaced in my service center Conleys Service center. 1 year later, Mr. ****** provided me with an invoice from ****s for work that couldn't be done for the danger that had nothing to do with work we did 1 year prior.
Mr. ****** also refused any further service and was not charged anything for any service or storage going forward. I also refused to do any future work on the vehicle because of the age and condition of vehicle.
Conleys Service has been in business since 1988 and is accredited with the Better Business
Bureau. We have no other complaints with the Better Business Bureau.

Better Business Bureau:
In response to Conley's statement, its simply not true. I have the evidence to prove my point. This ordeal has turned my life upside down and him not being truthful makes it worse. Therefore, I want him to pay the damages, incurred expenses and potential punitive damages because of his dishonesty.

Accept this letter as Conley's Service final response to a customer complaint alleging charges for Storage ($520.00) and inferior work performed by Conley's Services.
We absolutely deny all charges and respectively request that complainant provide written proof, receipts, invoices or any other documentation they may have to support the claims.
Our purpose on this matter is firm and we will Cc the ***** ******** office with their responses as per their request dated 3-28-2022 case listed above.
