Use cheep parts when they tell you they are using OEM parts.

I took my 2017 Ram 1500 sport model pickup truck to have the brakes replaced before we went on vacation. I got a previous quote for complete brake service for brakes and rotors while my truck was being serviced for oil a change. I told service advisor that I wanted only OEM brake components used on my vehicle and he assured me that OEM would be used. I picked up my truck and the following Sunday we left for vacation in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Upon returning home the brake dust buildup was so bad on my wheels I cannot tell what color my rims are. This prompted me to investigate on the receipt as to what parts were used on my truck. Turns out they didn’t use OEM parts but used a value line brakes and rotors on my vehicle without asking my permission to use lower quality parts. This is a very deceiving way of doing business. I paid them $1250.00 for these value brakes. Not a good value in my opinion. They should have ask if it was ok to use these lower quality parts. very deceiving

My husband and I purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee this past weekend (April 20, 2024) from Lois at Performance Jeep on Loop Road. While the vehicle is beautiful and Lois was pleasant, sadly we have learned that their manager greatly misled us regarding our trade-ins. We traded in two vehicles, a 2018 Subaru Legacy 2.5i with around 55,000 miles (in cherry condition) and a beautiful, red 2011 Jeep Wrangler with 74,000 miles, a new soft top, and a new Blue Ox towing package. We were the original owners of the Subaru and we purchased the Wrangler one year ago from Busam Ford in Wilmington. We were interested in purchasing the Grand Cherokee because we wanted to upgrade to a more comfortable Jeep that would be roomier for us and our dog. After the JeepLand manager appraised our trade-ins, Lois asked us if we were aware the Wrangler had been in a major wreck. We had no idea and were very distressed to learn we had been so misled. We were also amazed at how great the Wrangler looked and operated with no indication that there had ever been any damage to it at all. In any event, because of that, the JeepLand manager told us he could only offer us a much reduced trade-in of only $9,000 on the Wrangler. We proceeded with the deal, afraid to even keep the Wrangler after hearing that news. Yesterday, however, we contacted the sales person at Busam Ford, and he has proven to us he did not mislead us. He actually provided us copies of the Carfax report on the Wrangler which shows it was a minor collision and the current retail value on the Wrangler is $15,160 (which does not include the value of the additional accessories, by the way). With the trade-in on the Subaru and that of the Wrangler, and “no wiggle room in the price of the Grand Cherokee other than $500”, we believe the JeepLand manager is the one who greatly misled us, knowing very well he would greatly profit off of this transaction and make at least a quick $10,000 from some very trustworthy people. Dishonest!

I responded to an advertised lease deal on their website. A 2023 Jeep Gladiator Freedom Edition for $499 a month for 42 months @ 10,000 miles per year. When I got to the dealership they claimed they didn't know anything about it and could / would not honor their advertised sales price. The deal on their website specifically referenced the Gladiator I test drove. I'm very disappointed.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE FOR SERVICE. A diagnostic fee was $175. Incorporated in that charge was a “storage fee” and a “parts fee” for running a diagnostic. The part I needed, they said was $265, when in reality the same Mopar part everywhere else I called was $108. Performance Chrysler was going to charge over $600 to complete my repair. I took it to another Chrysler Dodge Jeep Service shop that charged just over $200 for the same job.
