On January 7, 2023 at 12:00am myself and two children were left out in the cold due to a gas leak at **** ******** *** which is owned by River Road Rentals. I was not offered any accommodations like hotel room for myself my 3 year old and infant. Due to the timing of events were out in the cold for several hours before I was able to contact a family member due to it being the middle of the night. This is the 3rd time this year we have been displaced without accommodation. After the first occurrence ( carbon monoxide) early 2022. December first 2022 my children and me were displace ( gas leak) without accommodation. Now, January 2023 (2) gas leaks were found on the property. My children and I have been coughing for the last 4 days. When I contacted Duke Energy 1/6/2022, the representative inquired as to whether or not me or my children were coughing, she advised me that gas poisoning looks like a cold and advised me to get out immediately which I did. I have not been to the doctor as of the date of this complaint because I had to leave the residence in the middle of the night and to date have not been back to get any provisions for my family. To date I have not been able to contact the property manager who I only know as ***** and to date never met in person. I have made repeated calls to a google account ###-###-#### to no avail. Until this matter is resolved I need a place for me and my children to reside and feel that River Road Rentals is required to pay for lodging for me and my children until they have completed the work needed for my family to return to the household. I feel as though the matter is not being taken seriously enough by the owner and the work needs to be done correctly so that I do not have to suffer. I will be going to the emergency room as I am currently coughing excessively and feel as though I need medical attention. For the sake of me and my children please assist in helping us to get back to a residence until River Road Rentals makes repairs me and my children have been rendered homeless. River Road Rentals has been paid what is owed to them and needs to act on my behalf at this point.
