Acct#CCC#********* Missing amount - $100- I have been making automatic payments as arranged with Controlled Credit Crop., since March of 2021 in order to resolve a debt owed to The ****** Hospital. My bank account is auto-drafted every month on the 9th for this debt. I contacted Controlled Credit initially in June 2023 about $100 that was not remitted towards my account with ****** Hospital however the amount was auto-drafted from my bank account. On 12/12/23, I faxed proof of the bank drafts as well as the detailed account information from ****** Hospital. As you can see from the supporting documentation, there is a gap in time where there were no remitted payments from Nov 2022-Jan 2023 from Controlled Credit to ****** Hospital. However, there were bank drafts on 11/9/22, 12/9/22, and 1/9/22. Meaning, only two of the three bank drafts were applied towards my ****** account on 1/27/23 since October of 2022. I requested an audit or investigation to locate the missing payment of $100. I followed up regarding my fax with Controlled Credit on 1/11/24 and spoke with a supervisor named Tony (ph:###-###-####). He reviewed my account that same day and advised me that they found the missing $100 from November 2022 & confirmed with ****** that Controlled Credit would remit the payment. As of March 31, 2024 the $100 has yet to be remitted and reflected towards the amount due to ****** Hospital. I would like the amount remitted towards my debt owed to ****** Hospital or refunded to me so that I can pay my debt directly. Either way, the money was withdrawn from my bank and is still missing. This issue is still not resolved.

*** ********, I have reviewed your complaint and researched the payments posted. I have found that you have made 38 payments to CCC and The ****** Hospital has a record of 37 payments. The last payment you made to CCC was 041024. Payments are reported to The ****** Hospital monthly, your April payment will not be reported until April month end, 051024. The ****** Hospital shows a balance of $324.64 and we have a balance of $224.64 which means that both records are accurate based on the reporting schedurele. What may have caused confusion is that the regularity of our reporting to The ****** Hospital has changed during the course of your payment plan. In the past you saw your payments reflected on ** ***** closer to the actual date paid than you do now. I will send a current itemized statement to your home address which will reflect the payments received by the hospital. Please know that CCC has not reported your account to any credit reporting agency. Sincerely, Pat O******** Client Services Manager ###-###-####.

I received a notice from Credit Corp regarding what is listed as an unpaid medical bill. I have disputed this debt as this is an error. I have also provided the EOB to the originating anesthesia practice that reflects no balance due at their request. These errors need to be handled internally between the agency the erroneous debt was sold to and the initiator of selling this erroneous debt. It’s a bad practice to not thoroughly investigate dents for legitimacy before exercising collection attempts. This needs to be resolved ASAP.

*** *******,  The account was placed in collection because the correspondence that the provider received from ********** indicated that the balance was patient liability, not provider adjustment. The provider received your copy of the eob and contacted ********** who would not send them a corrected copy of the provider eob. (They need a corrected copy to take the adjustment in their system). This week the provider sent your account for management review to see if the eob copy that you provided can be used by them to adjust the balance of this account to zero. I have placed a hold on your account in collection while they make that determination.  Please know that this account has not been reported to any credit reporting agency by CCC. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions or concerns. Sincerely, Pat O******** Client Services Manager ###-###-####.

** *****, I am sorry that you have had difficulty reaching our office. Multiple accounts were listed in our office by the provider of service/original creditor on two separate dates. CCC sends an initial letter on accounts listed to the address provided to us by the provider of service. In this case, the accounts listed your name and an address and phone number that turned out to belong to your ex husband. CCC has attempted to reach you by phone to correct our records but have been unable to reach you.  Please contact our office either by phone or mail M-F 8:30am - 5pm and at that time we will be able to update our information and discuss any payment or assistance options with you. At no time did CCC threaten to report or actually report these accounts to any credit reporting agency. Please call ###-###-#### or mail to P O Box 5154 Cincinnati, OH 45205. Sincerely, Pat O******** Complicance Officer.

CCC#******** You have an account of mine from ****** medical center I have ******** *********) and insurance through my parents so this bill should be $0. I’m also unemployed and have repeatedly told this company that and they continue to threaten wage garnishment. You can’t get blood from a turnip I’m afraid. *** ********, I have received your complaint and reviewed the ****** account. The account was billed to and paid by ****** **********. If you could provide the ** ******** information we could see whether ****** is able to bill the balance to this coverage. In the Spring of this year, I was contacted by the Controlled Credit Corporation regarding a bill from 2018 - from the birth of my second daughter. I contacted ********* - where the claim was originated, and I was told ********* did an internal audit, and found my bill. I contacted my insurance company, ******, and they said it was very strange to receive a bill more than 4 years past its origination date, and there was no way to track the bill down and that it was most likely fraudulent. When I contacted Controlled Credit, they said I had already started paying on this - but I set up an automatic payment before I spoke to my insurance, which I told them to not pay it based on what ****** had said. Since I cannot verify this bill is valid, I would like it to be closed.

      *** *********,

I have researched your complaint regarding the accounts that were listed with our agency on 06/14/22. The ********* services go back to May, 2018, one physician's account and one hospital account. The balances placed in collection are balances after your insurance company made payment on the accounts. I have requested that itemized statements be sent to you for both accounts, this will allow you to see the services provided as well as the insurance payments and adjustments and any patient payments made.

On 062422, we received a report of payment in full on the physician's account from *********. I do not have any details regarding the origin of this payment.   We now show this account to be paid in full. This payment will be reflected on the itemized statement when you receive it.

We are also waiting on additional information from ********* regarding the hospital account balance.  I was hoping to have their response before responding to your BBB complaint, but we have not yet received their reply and I did not want you to wait any longer for our response. Once we receive their response I will provide that information to you.

Please know that Controlled Credit Corporation has not reported either of these accounts to a credit reporting agency so there will be no adverse effects from the accounts being handled by our office.

Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions or concerns.
