I had GTZ add to an existing concrete porch around May 15 2022. Juan, the owner came and checked it once after I sent an email saying the finish didn’t look the same everywhere said nothing he could do. A year later I emailed about holes and chipping happening. He came and looked and accused us of putting salt down. 1 we were never told not to. 2 we were never told to water the concrete for days after poured or to seal it. Once the chipping started, I googled it and it says it’s from the mixture of concrete not being right. He said he would put a thin cap of bag concrete over it. His son came and did half one week, when he came back to finish the next week, I pointed out the brush strokes on the first half we’re not the same and asked if he could make sure the second half be the same. After he finished I pointed out how rough the edges were and I was concerned it would crumble quickly. He did a little more work but obviously didn’t care what the end product looked like and got an attitude, and said rude things. His dad and him both showed right back up, his dad said it’s a good job. It is not, none of it is the same finish, he left concrete on our siding, and the first part he did now has stuck on concrete from his shoe prints that won’t come off. It’s crumbling from the bottom where they did it the first time, not sure how long it will last and it doesn’t look good. I paid $1200 cash. I have emails with all communication. But they never called to let me know when they were gonna be here, never told me when they were leaving. I had to watch, so I could look at, learned that from the first time. Horrible business communication and shabby work, where it’s hurried and no concern of how it looks.
