Please see the attached letter for additional details. Business: Sea of Smiles (John A. G**********, DDS, 1319 Nagel Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255-3101) Complaint: inaccurate billing and overcharging due to their inability to file paperwork correctly and in a timely manner. Original Paid in Full Transaction date: 11/6/21 Bill Received date: 8/15/22 for $734.00 Account # 50936 1st estimate provided - $3,890 2nd estimate - Days prior to the surgery the price increased to $5,183. Total Paid: -$5,726 -- Paid $2,961 out of pocket // Paid by insurance $2,765 (does NOT include separate charges and payments to their anesthesiologist) - I have OVERPAID $543 from the highest estimate of $5,183, and they are now asking for an additional $734, for a total of $6,460 for services originally estimated at $3,890. This total paid does not include the additional dental expenses went thru after they neglected to perform the procedure properly, nor the time missed at work dealing with all of the billing and extra appointments. Business committed to provide a dental procedure at an original estimated price of $3,890 with the expectation that my claims and payments would be handled with professional reporting and financial accounting practices.
