Pursuant to Complaint Dec22 and Business Owner's response Jan23: I installed the walls because HE SAID they got the inspection, which the Inspector said was not true! The Business owner reached out in Jan23 to say they "will make it right". However, it got to where I simply he reconnected to the existing power source as I'm forgoing a separate service for the 3rd floor (which was how it was before he started any work) AND make sure to cancel the electrical permit he pulled for the separate 3rd service. As at today, I'm still dealing with the Inspection department to clear up the matter. I WILL NEED to get another Electrician to remediate not just the 3rd Floor but the entire house now, all because of this mess. Unless he can clean up this mess and clear my house of the permit and inspection on his work, he HAS NOT made anything right!

We hired AD Electric to perform electrical work that required 2 steps to complete. They performed the first portion and were paid in full: the transaction date with a certified check is 11/08/2021. He then promised to return to finish the project after the drywall was finished and complete a final inspection with IBI. Mr. ******** disappeared, and we could not find him per his original contract to complete his work. In August 2022, our Project Manager sent Mr. ******** an email stating that if he didn't return to complete the project we would move forward with legal action against his company. Mr. ******** then entered into a new contract with us, which is attached. Regarding electrical work, the Contractor agreed to apply and complete all necessary inspections and secure a final inspection approval from IBI no later than Friday, September 9, 2022 The terms of the signed agreement dated 8/24/2022 were not met and an IBI inspection report dated 12/12/2022, has 21 failed items listed on it. Efforts have been made to resolve this dispute on several occasions, however, all attempts to address our concerns with *** ******** of A.D. Electric, have been met with limited responses and no follow-up by him. We are requesting a full refund of my payments in the amount of $6225.00, as AD Electric has breached our contract.

This is bad communication on more than one party .And breakdown on communication from us too. But I understand her frustration our original scope of work was for can lights throughout house and add kitchen , bathroom's and gfcis where needed we past our rough in Inspection for our scope of work it's on file with ******** at that point we should have been able to come back and do final  Inspection. Its been several times we've came out and they were not ready it's been almost a year. So my understanding is that when final was called out the failed her for 99% of previous Electrical contractor. Just look at the infractions and our scope of work dont match.Once again I do feel bad for her and willing to help within reason.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Mr. ******** is not being honest. The electrical permit is in his name. As seen on the inspection report that has been presented, the report stipulates that the inspection Applicant is associated with his email address.
He has been the electrician of record from the onset of this project, so this “other electrician” is not able to be substantiated.
We had made several calls to him, and we have texts and correspondence which shows that we had tried to get him to come back to our property to complete his work.
In August of 2022, we learned that the reason why he never returned was that the same crew that messed up our property had allegedly done this to other properties that our Project Manager had been working with him on.   When we found out this information, we presented Mr. ******** with our options, he either must return to the property to fix his mistakes, or we sue him.  This is the reason that he, for no payment, willingly entered into another contract with us on 8/24/2022 to resolve the outstanding issues to ultimately pass an IBI final inspection.
He signed a contract with specific timelines and milestones to successfully complete his obligations, which he did not fulfill. In addition, the details within the contract were confirmed with him by our Project Manager who also highlighted our expectations.
Mr. ******** keeps stating in his defense that he passed a rough in inspection. This position of his is inconsistent with the requirements of his duties. An inspection, ordered by in December 2022 had failed with over 21 violations. If he had issues with the final inspection results, he could have filed an appeal with IBI since the permit is in his company’s name. He did not contest the results, he just disappeared.
Also, to make the situation worse, Mr. ******** scheduled the first final IBI inspection on 12-12-2022 without our knowledge but claimed he did not do so. However, the Applicant Information on the corresponding report associates his email address with that order.
He even went as far as to have us order and pay for another inspection on 12-14-2022, knowing he failed and didn’t fix his mistakes.  We had to cancel it, yet still had to pay a cost for a non-visit. This all can be verified in text messages from him and the attached receipt.
Mr. ******** obliviously didn’t know what it would take for him to pass, as he scheduled the final inspection without our knowledge and disappeared. This is very alarming as 21 violations are a serious hazard to our property.  He only appeared after we sent him the attached letter via email and certified letter, stating we wanted a refund, due to his breach of our contract.
In our contract, we have stated that failure to fulfill his responsibility would result in our reporting him to your agency, The Attorney General, the City of Forest and Cincinnati Building Department as well as local media. We also stated that we would pursue this issue in court if he did not refund our money, also stipulated in the contract.
We have been more than fair and patient with Mr. ********, as we stated, we want a full refund, or we will continue to report his actions to the stated agencies and proceed to sue him in court.

      Regards,

      ******* ********

AD Electric/HVAC LLc gave a proposal Sept 1, 2022 for $7,300 labor and material to wire my 3rd floor, including panel and meter install. I paid the deposit of $3,600 Sept 6th and a 2nd deposit of $2,555 Sept 28th after the Business Owner said they successfully passed the inspection. However, that was untrue, and the inspector had issues and required remediated work. They wanted to charge me more money, but I declined to pay anymore until the job was done. They left the 3rd floor in shambles, with the walls horribly damaged and electrical work unfinished. To date, I have not heard from, nor received any kind of responses from the Business Owner. I've called, left messages, emailed, text messages...and the inspector hasn't heard from them either.

I want to make her satisfied we explained to her ahead of project that he had to take dryway down to detach all live circuits from second floor. To run new circuits for 3rd floor. The lady jumped the gone and had the 3rd dry walled finished and painted before we started. I explained it's like open heart surgery you have to open up things .So she got mad after I sat her down prior before install. I'm willing to help if she understands to let us do our job.
