I am a professional RN/BSN-I have dedicated my live to healing and serving others as a team-it has been my honor and privilege. This staffing agency played mindcraft games with my contract, was unprofessional, and did not honor the contract when I did everything I was suppose to do ahead of time. I was given an all clear. The staffing agency did not pay me for my compliance and time. I am owed 25 hours at 55/hr. They will not pay me. I gave my two weeks and finished at my previous employer. This agency did this on purpose and constantly gas lit and did not help on purpose. It is unethical, unacceptable, inhumane, illegal, and wrong how they are practicing business. Please audit them and shut this company down and do not allow them to reopen. This could of happened to a nurse that would not have advocated for her colleagues n future world.

Prolink offers are usually accepted before the first day of work, this is done to help support our applicants in completing all complaince items required before starting on assignment. The Compliance process allows us to ensure all applicants are qualified, legally able to work, and (if applicable) appropriately trained for the position based on both Prolink and the client’s standards. Compliance completion times can vary depending on items such as background checks, drug screens, preemployment paperwork, and skills assessments. These tasks are not paid as they are a pre-requisite for employment and may also include an assessment of the applicant’s skills for the job in which they are applying. However, hours spent completing true education such as virtual orientation provided by the facility, in advance as part of their in-person orientation will be paid out in accordance with the pay rate listed on the offer letter. Our records indicate that this person completed 1 module with a completion time of 4 hours. We have attempted to contact her no response and have been unable to pay her as she has not confirmed banking and/or an address at which to mail her a check.

Hello ****** and thank you for bringing this to our attention as we appreciate your patience in this matter. In reviewing your assignment with us the main issue stemmed from the inability to enter hours through ******. Since this event, we have worked closely with the facility to process your hours. We were successfully able to send the funds to you and believe all hours to be fully paid to you at this time. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us and allowing us the opportunity to make things right.

I was hired to start an assignment with Prolink at ******* general hospital. After being hired I tore my ACL to my right knee. I wear a special brace for this to stabilize my knee. At orientation I asked if it would be possible to switch to the night shift because there was openings and it would be less stressful for my knee. I was told by Stephanie N*****-******** that would not be a problem. My recruiter told me to get 2 doctors notes stating restrictions so I could keep my for documentation purposes. Never heard back from the recruiter but received a termination letter in my email. I was not on restrictions I wasn’t going to be. The company asked me to do that then fired me!!!

      Business response

      02/16/2023

This response is for the concern reported by ****** ******* (talent) in February of 2023. This concern was reviewed by the Recruiter and Client Relationship Team directly involved as well as the Human Resources team at ProLink Staffing. A doctor’s note was requested stating the exact medical restrictions and requested accommodations the talent would need to abide by to ensure talent and patient safety. Unfortunately, the requests and recommendations were unable to be approved based on facility needs and the high level of physical endurance and mobility needed to provide safe patient care. After each assignment with ProLink ends, an automated letter is sent to the talent directly informing them of the separation along with details. For this situation, it has not negatively impacted the talents eligibility for future assignments with ProLink as they are currently elligible. If interested in applying for an assignment, please visit our website or reach out to [email protected] and we would be more than happy to connect you with a recruiter.

The company's actions are unethical at the very least. I reasonably relied on something this employer said or wrote, even though it was not stated in the contract. The contract was for a specific term, and falls under "promissory estoppel"- meaning this termination is an exception to the "at-will" doctrine and the nurse, being myself, reasonably relied on the recruiter and the Prolink offer. I took my first out of town contract in ******, **. My home is in ******** **. I got here with my two big dogs, reserved an ****** for the first month of my stay -which was pricy considering the circumstances. My first day at the hospital- ***- ****** ******* Hospital ran me around their unit and campus until I finally ended up being canceled 5 hours later by their “educator.”…due to not having experience with Epic… My recruiter from Prolink told me on more than one occasion that the post *** sent was for Cerner experience- Making me qualified. This error should have been caught before the contract began. The contract was agreed upon in July and did not start until August. Zero reimbursements for anything- not time, not travel ($100+ ((gas)), not the additional ** required background check ($100) ****** ($5300). Nothing. The contract stated “guaranteed” 48 hours per week at a rate of 4300 per week. "at-will". With a weekly lodging of $847. No pay for the 5 hours worked. I was out of work for 3 weeks, had to relocate again for another contract as soon as possible and was not reimbursed for anything - I have all of the documentation. This has caused me significant financial hardship and stress - either Prolink or the hospital via Prolink should pay for damages - at the very least my lodging meals and incidentals- up to the wages I lost.

******* began her first assignment with us on 08/01/2022. Before one of our contractors are submitted to an assignment, they undergo what is called a “lockdown call”. This call is essentially an interview to verify that the candidate has all the experience required to perform the essential job functions. During this interview on 07/18/2022, ******* stated that she had both Cerner and Epic experience. Due to this as well as the candidate possessing the skills required to perform the job, she was approved to begin the assignment. Upon the talents first day working, it was then discovered by the facility that she did not have EPIC experience which lead the facility canceling her contract on 08/01/2022.

After ******* was canceled, her recruiter immediately reached out to find a resolution to the situation. Her recruiter also was able to locate a new assignment on 08/02 that we could transfer ******* to so she could begin earning an income as soon as possible with little disruption. ******* denied this new assignment due to wanting to stay in her area until 08/15/2022. On 08/02 it was mentioned by ******* that the educator was rude according to her. Shortly thereafter on 08/08/2022,

******* stated to us that she felt the facility discriminated against her due to Sexual discrimination as well as ******* being a woman and having tattoos. At ProLink, we take accusations of discrimination very seriously and always launch a full investigation into the matter. On 08/10, our HR Dept attempted to reach out to ******* to discuss her discrimination concerns and gain more information as to how the facility may have discriminated against her. On 08/15/2022, *******'s recruiter reached out once more to follow up on the matter and let ******* know that we are here for anything she may need. We did not hear back from ******* about the matter and therefore could not gain enough information to share with the facility so they could investigate if these allegations were true or false. ******* is still in good graces with ProLink and is eligible to accept new assignments with us.

As far as her discrimination concerns go, we followed up about each concern as soon as possible and found multiple opportunities for other contracts that ******* was qualified for but we did not hear back from ******* so that we could successfully finish our investigation. If she would like to continue her investigation with us, we are more than happy to connect with the client to address her concerns. Due to ******* being canceled, some expenses are ineligible for payout. Her recruiter is able to assist ******* in discussing which reimbursements these may be.

I contracted to work with ProLink on an 8 week contract in January 2022. As part of my contractual obligations I had to work 48 hours weekly. ProLink offered me a 2 week extension towards the end of the 8 weeks. The weekend before the extension began, a manager Patrick called to tell me I wasn't being extended. Patrick couldn't provide me with any other information as he didn't even know the site that I worked at or who my supervisor was. I had already worked my required 48 hours that week (3/19) & every week prior without ever missing a day on this contract. I, as well as my department manager have all my timesheets'. My recruiter & even the project managers & emergency numbers were impossible to reach that weekend. My emails, texts & calls went unanswered. Their travel department never assisted me in arranging travel home. I had to navigate my way home out of pocket. I had to pay for additional time in my hotel room, so I would not be homeless during this time of trying to secure a flight. My contract stated that return travel costs would be covered. The only correspondence that I was sent from ProLink was in regards to *****. On April 15th, 2022 I received a text from an unknown number which stated my travel wouldn't be covered because I was terminated. I never missed a shift or had the word terminated mentioned to me. When was I terminated? Why? After, I worked all 384 required hours of the contract? Is it even legal to terminate someone post work completion? ProLink failed to uphold their end of the contract. I have submitted receipts to them & continue to call & email almost weekly to be reimbursed for the expenses associated with my travel. Please be aware before signing any contract with ProLink. They use avoidance & wrongful termination tactics as a method to not honor your contract. I was left miles away from home with no one to assist me. I did my part as a nurse & I want to be compensated for my expenditures related to my travel home.

We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and apologize for any inconvenience. We have reviewed your profile and have connected with our leadership team that originally handled your assignment. After consulting with them, we discovered that our Project Managers and Sales Executives do not always receive complete information pertaining to our talent on assignment and are sometimes only given a name by the facility. Please understand that our team was doing the best with the information we were provided with at the time. In the ever-changing landscape of travel nursing, there seems to have been a mistake made relating to the facility you were operating at.  This confusion has been resolved and we have some positive news regarding your reimbursements that we would like to discuss with you. If you would please connect with me directly regarding your concerns outlined below, I would be more than happy to help. My email is *********************** or you can call me at ###-###-####.

I accepted a nursing contract with this company from 1/31/22 to 3/31/22. During my assignment I had only received 3 paychecks in which was correct, all of the rest i had to file a complaint to get the rest of the funds. I was to be paid every week and one week i wasn't paid at all. I was also contracted to receive licensing and travel reimbursements in which i sent over all requested documents and has yet to receive my payments. Upon completion of the contract the reporting manager on the assignment refused to sign my last time sheet (i feel was a retaliation for a complaint filed against him from a local employee and myself) prolink was provided proof that I had upheld my end of the contract but still is refusing to pay me for my last week there. They are also refusing to reimburse me for travel and licensing per our contract. The whole time i was on assignment the recruiter would tell me to wait until Friday to get reimbursed but never paid me. All of the other nurses on that assignment received their payment on week two and three. I'm not sure if the recruiter kept the $1,000 reimbursement or not, but he kept telling me that the payment was pending and never released it to me. I have reached out to HR and management and was told that something would be done to resolve this matter, and now they are also refusing to answer any of my emails/calls. this company does not know how to treat their employees. to send someone to the other side of the country away from their family and attempt to withhold pay is unethical! I upheld my end of the contract and expect to be paid for it.

ProLink was originally notified of the issues *** ******* was experiencing with her reporting manager on 04/04 at 6:15 pm EST. The following morning of 04/05, our Human Resources Business Partner for External Talent immediately met with our Client Relationship team who works directly with the facility to understand the situation and work through some possible solutions that we may have been able to implement in order to assist *** *******. *Should we talk about what the outcome of this conversation was?*

As for *** ********* statements regarding her payroll frustrations. *** ********* assignment began on 1/30/2022 and was to go through 3/31/2022. In *** ********* signed offer letter, it indicates she was guaranteed 50 hours of work per week, however, if she is not available for all scheduled shifts, she would forfeit guaranteed of hours for that week. Please reference the below screenshot from her Offer Letter, as well as *** ********* signature indicating acknowledgement of her Offer letter.

During the week of 3/27/2022, *** ******* was scheduled to be on-call during the days of 3/27/2022 and 3/29/2022. She was scheduled to work 3/31/2022, however, she called off work that day to pack and requested to use paid sick leave to financially cover her absence. Her paid sick leave was not approved, as the reason did not meet the criteria requirement indicated in ProLink** Paid Sick Leave policy. Due to her calling off, she was not available for her scheduled shift and her guaranteed 50 hours for the week were forfeit.

During the week of 3/27/2022, *** ******* did not work, however, ProLink paid *** ******* for the hours she was on-call in the total of 16 regular hours and 4 over time hours, as well as her per diem. Within this payment was also *** ******** $1,000 reimbursement for the various items that she noted in her statement below. Due to the volume of submitted reimbursements, these can take as long as 6-8 weeks to be paid out. I have attached *** ******** pay slip within this email which contains an itemized list of all funds paid for the items discussed above. The payment occurred on 4/28/2022 and our Payroll confirmed with *** ****** that she received these funds on 4/29/2022.

Since taking a crisis contract it has been a NIGHTMARE. I got to assignment and went to day one Orientation. First day of orientation we got a Covid swab. Swab came back inconclusive. I was placed on quarantine until results were received. Was unable to get a hold of anybody for seven days, After reaching out to several people multiple times. This included the emergency hotline. Finally received notice to return to work one week after my swab. Not paid for quarantine days even though promised before assignment. Worked my second week, only was paid half of my hours. Was never reimbursed for my license or Uber receipts, like promised. I am now four weeks in and getting no answers. It will be days until I hear something back from anybody, and everyone is giving me conflicting responses. I am now I’m not being compensated for even the hours that I did work. Promised a flight home from assignment and still have not received it after requesting fit several days now.
