  I went to Stone Statements today to finalize a kitchen counter order. I picked the stone on the estimate and went to the office checkbook in hand and was told it would be two thousand dollars more than the estimate. I feel like it was a "bait and switch".

  Please keep in mind, we have a vast selection of materials to choose from. In response to this complaint, the client was provided a quote for three different types of granite. It was determined the client would like a quartz product in lieu of the granite quote that was provided. At that time, a new quote was offered using a quartz product. We have no intention to bait and switch our clients. Material costs vary from product to product. Material expenses may incur with those specific selections.

  I walked Stone Statements wear-house twice with ********* looking at options for my counter.  The first time we walked,I told her what my budget was and she took me to those options.  ********* seemed very knowladgeable about the selections. I pointed to what I liked and she made note of my selections. In the end I had taken pictures of my selections and told ********* that I wanted to think about it but I would get back to her.  After I had made my decision,I returned and told ********* that I was ready to buy but would like to look one more time at my selections. The first one we stoped at was the one wanted.  I said "this is it.  This is the one on the estimate ?" and she said yes.  I said let's look at the other two to make sure and we did.  I said, I will take the the first one let's write it up. We returned to the office and ********* gave me a paper to read while "he" printed the estimate.  The next thing I know a guy walks in says it will cost me two thousand dollars more for that slab.  I was shocked and confused. I asked why ? I never received an answer. The guy left the building .  I think asking twice "is this within my budget ?" ,being told that it was  AND having it written on the estimate  that they do not want to honor is proof of deceit.
