On January 29th, 2024, I called to have a locksmith re-key a lock. After 30 minutes, he gave me two keys and re-installed the lock. I paid him $170 with a personal check. It was deposited the very next day. About a week later, I was labeling my keys and realized that all he had done was make two keys identical to the one I already had, which meant he had not re-keyed the lock at all. I paid him $170 for two keys. I had to go out of town, so called them on February 9, 10, 11th and got a run around each time. Each person told me that this was the first they'd heard of my problem, they were sorry, and they would have the manager call me. That did not happen, ever. I went to the address to find it is an elementary school with administrative buildings. I confirmed with a mailman delivering mail in that neighborhood that there is no locksmith in that area at all. The original phone number I used was ###-###-####. A comprehensive and detailed report of the occurrence was attached on my original complaint. It also has this 513 phone number listed, and the other number he used to call me when he arrived.
I did not receive any paperwork at all. The only receipt I have is the one he texted to my cell. It is attached below and above. .
