On September 2, 2021, we hired Jeffer's Moving Company to move our large furniture items from *********** **** to ********* ****. They sent 2 employees with a truck. They loaded up the furniture and drove it to ********, and unloaded it. My husband gave them a twenty dollar bill to stop and get some lunch afterwards. A couple of hours later, we realized that my lock box had been broken into and emptied, and my jewelry was gone from a small jewelry box I kept in my dresser drawer. My lock box was full of silver and gold bullion coins. They were all gone, the box was open, but still locked. We paid $400 for the move in check form. The company has never cashed the check because we immediately reported to them the theft. The items stole total about $1500 in value. It is now October 7, and the company has never let us know whether or not their insurance is going to cover our losses. I'm extremely frustrated and upset because two of the rings stolen were given to me by my grandma.
