We hired this company to remodel a bathroom which took 4 weeks. The end result in the bathroom is extremely disappointing. In addition, their work resulted in the stripping of the stain and varnish from the hardwood floor outside the bathroom. This was caused by a sticky backed floor covering they used. The last day they came to complete the Bathroom and try to repair the hardwood floor. Due to the wet hardwood floor we were unable to do a bathroom final walk thru. Hours later, when we did this is what we found: -an amateur paint job that was sloppy, several tones on walls, and wasn't cut out. The walls were rough and not scimmed smoothly. - a sliding door made for a 50-58" wide frame was installed in a 40" frame., leaving a 12" access to shower. We suggested a sliding door but were never informed it wouldn't fit before it was installed. - the plastic frame around the shower was painted, as was the door stopper. These should never be painted. -the cabinet counter is scratched from their equipment, and had paint and caulking on it. A drawer was broken, not hinged correctly. - paint was on the toilet -an electric switch they replaced was bulging from wall and was caulked around the plate. We are in the process of getting everything fixed. The shower door has been replaced, and the cabinet drawer replaced. A certified electrician replaced the electric switches and plates. Said faulty installation could have caused power outage. A professional painter has rescimmed and painted the bathroom walls. A total expense of $3000. We still need to have the hardwood flooring repaired. We have not contacted this company and we want no contact from them. We are retirees and have invested enough of our finances, energy, and time into them. We do not recommend this company. The only resolution for us is reimbursement.

      Of course, we don't agree.
**** was in the bathroom with us every single day. They picked a shower door.
They picked a vanity we couldn't help if the drawer was bad.  We tried our best to fix. I had the countertop covered.

      Better Business Bureau:
On 4/29/2024 we received via text a proposed offer from the owner of the company. He offered a settlement of 12 monthly payments of $250.00 each, beginning July 2024 with the final payment July 2025. Totaling $3000.00. The owner is to send a check to us monthly via mail. The delay in the start of the payment is at the owners personal request. We have accepted his proposed offer, but this does not mean the company has fulfilled the offer. This proposal will not be fulfilled until final payment is received. We will contact the BBB if there is any delinquency in the agreed upon payments and if not paid in full. In his response he refers to someone named ****. We do not know who that is.

R & P Painting and Remodeling was hired for two jobs. His 1st contract called for fixing a can light in the ceiling. He agreed to get the paint off 7 can lights that occurred when he painted the ceiling and have his carpenter Shane fix the can light when he started the 2nd job. That has not happened. The second job agreement called for a plaster wall being cut out to remove a cracked marble windowsill and checked for loose boards, The contract called for repairing the wall with plaster or drywall, re-caulking the window, installing the repaired sill. and fixing blind brackets. I asked him on 8/29 to notate the 1 -year warranty on the contract. He has not, A large portion of the wall was cut out on the top left to check for wood. Because the wall was not cut all the way out, Ron agreed to take off a mere 200 dollars, He also agreed to Durabond, prime. and paint all areas in the dining room and living room with cracks, and caulk above crown molding on two walls. On 8/29 Shane said everything would be done except installing the sill. Ron said that they would not be back until I had the sill. I called him 9/12 and again 9/13 letting him know I had the sill. That evening he texted he was ill and that he’d understand if I wanted someone else to finish. I told him he needed to finish the work and had 1.250.00 of my money. He said they would be back 9/18.They did not come. Mud has been put on the wall and cracks. no plaster or drywall was used per the contract, I complained to Ron that morning, He became belligerent, and I told him I was filing a complaint. He said fine file your complaint, find someone else to do the work and I will sue you in court. The carpenter has showed up late every day since 9/19 instead of. 7:30am. I called Ron at 8.45 9/20/23 and asked him to call me. He hasn’t. On 9/22, Shane said Ron was leaving the country next Thursday. The company needs to complete all verbal and written work immediately, add their warranty, and clean.

The day after R & P was paid an area on the wall shrank and caved in. They came back 10/3 and 10/4 and I pointed out that the right side of the window was not caulked, an area under the sill needed paint, and the can light they "fixed" on 9/27 had sagged once again. I was told they would be back to fix these areas that same wek since they were working 10 minutes away but after texting both the carpenter and the owner, no one has returned to fix the problems and my messages have been ignored.  The 3rd job referred to in the company's response a actually discussed on 8/9, however they failed to give a quote.  I let the owner know I had 2 quotes and he texted that they were good prices and to go with one of them and i have.  It seems he was confused.

They keep giving me days they will be here but either do not show up or call to reschedule.  The owner has complained profusely to me about my complaint and concerns but has never once come out to see the problems which is odd.  They have left a big mess for me to clean each visit including sanding walls and no shop vac to clean the flooring, dripping joint compound on my floor without wiping the spill, walking in it and tracking it on my vinyl covered porch, and brought fleas into my home with infested drop cloths costing me over 200 dollars to treat my animals.  They have also been using my trash bags instead of bringing their own.  This is all unprofessional and uncalled for and I do hope this is resolved Friday 11/17/23 as promised in a professional manner.

The owner and his partner (he claims to be a partnership not a sole proprietor), have texted me or called to tell me they would be here to fix problems a total of 6 times since 10/3/23, and have not shown yet.  3 out of 6 were no shows with no call or text.

After the 10/3 visit, that work did not hold up. I sent texts with pictures showing all areas that need addressed. They involve taping ,joint compound, sanding, and painting for the most part and there is also some caulking.

The owner texted me 11/13 with the question “how many complaints are you going to keep making”  I told him I did not understand his question,  He replied “ I think you do.” 11/2 was the last time I sent him a picture of his work not holding up. All texts and pictures are legitimate and honest.

He is not coming out today as promised either, has moved it to 11/18.

      Thank you,

Mr S******* came to my home 11/18/23 and was here less than 10 minutes.  He put one time spackling on 3 areas and started walking out the door. I asked him when he was coming back to sand and paint and he said “paint what”.  The 3 areas he spackled, and an area below the window sill that was never sanded and painted all need to be addressed.  He also needs to finish getting paint off the can lights that his partner never finished. He also needs to re-caulk around the window, and fix the can light.  All of these were pointed out on 10/3/24 and texts were also sent.  The partner was supposed to be back that week as he said, he was only 10 minutes away and these areas have never been addressed.

This complaint was filed 9/22/23 and the work needs to completed ASAP. Too much time has been allowed to pass which I feel is unfair.  Ron  was supposed to be back this week but never contacted me.  I am available any day next week except Tuesday for completion.

He then said he would be back that week since he was only 10 minutes away. Ron S******* said to wait to buy new springs until they had a chance to look at it after he got it back in the ceiling. He did that in August 2023. Springs were then purchased.

As the texts show, Rone indicated that Shane would address my concerns that included the can light. Shane has not been back to address them.  The can light photo has not changed because no one has changed the spring that Shane said may be stretched.  He told me that it may need to be caulked under the rim but would try changing the spring first as he was leaving 10/4 but never came back

I asked him to please caulk the right side of the window which was in my previous response along with fixing the can light. and he refused saying he brought no caulk. To: Better Business Bureau:

On 4/19/23 Ron S******* and his carpenter came to start repairs on the wall in my living room. I reported it had re-cracked 3/18/24.  They were supposed to come back today to continue but did not call as promised. I called Ron about 10 to see when they would return and he did not know stating his carpenter was ill. I asked him if he could finish it and he said he would have to talk to the carpenter.

Before he left on 4/19/24. Ron caulked around the can light and it did not fix the sagging rim. He pushed it up, saw that it fell back down, and left. This rim is above my stove and heat from cooking goes straight up. There was so much caulk, that some started dripping onto the stove. I had to have a neighbor help me take some of it off and clean.  Today I asked Ron if it would be ok to ask the carpenter to change the springs and he just repeated that he would talk to the carpenter.
