I ordered an electronic product on Sunday, May 19th, order number: ************, for $656.14. I paid extra for 2-day shipping as I needed the part by Saturday, May 25th. I received an automated email that appeared to confirm the order on May 19th at 10:53 AM. The email stated in part to "Email any questions to ******************** with the subject: "Order Inquiry for order number: ************"". I did not hear from the company so sent an email to ******************** requesting order status. I did not receive a reply. I sent another email to ******************** on June 2nd asking if the company was still in business, but did not receive a reply. At this point, I do not believe the company intends to communicate with me or fulfill the order. I would like my money returned. Also, I would like my credit card information and personal information deleted from the companies systems.

*** ***** placed an order with Valentine Research on May 19, 2024.  Unfortunately, *** ***** made the choice to enter a fake telephone number on the order.  Entering incorrect information for credit card orders is credit card fraud.  Valentine Research does not process fraudulent orders.

*** ***** needs to contact Valentine Research at ###-###-#### to resolve the fraudulent information on the order he placed.

      Sincerely,

      Margaret Valentine

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

I've owned multiple valentine 1's which I install in my high performance cars after I build them. I've always stood by Valentine 1 and recommended them to all my co-workers and friends alike. I usually sell them with the vehicle since they're hardwired and fit nicely with the sale. I recently purchased a project vehicle in July which I slated to complete by the new year, but with logistical issues and covid it was difficult to make my deadline. The vehicle was recently completed and I saved one of my first detectors for the $100 discount I noticed I could receive. After my vehicle was complete, I ran the serial number again and was met with the program being discontinued. I contacted support and requested a goodwill or for my information to reviewed by management and was met with no response and they completely ignored my correspondence. This to me is a slap in the face.. Understandably, V1 is a successful company that doesn't need my business but this is not a way to treat a loyal customer. I'm willing to give it another chance and purchase a new V1 Gen 2 if the $100 discount that was originally offered back in July 2021 is honored. I dont feel that the customer should be penalized for the shortages that Covid has caused. The companies that I've been staying loyal too are the ones who do whatever it takes to keep their customers during this time. I hope V1 is one of those companies and thank you for your time!

We have reviewed *** ********* account with our company. There is just one order on the account for parts ordered in 2016. At the time of the purchase he registered one serial number so that his purchase could be processed and shipped.  We do not show any other accounts for *** ******* or any additional orders.  There are no purchases of the Valentine One Radar Locators.   If he owns multiple Valentine One units, he should provide the serial numbers so that the units may be registered in his name.  If a unit is ever stolen, we are able to assist law enforcement in the recovery of the property.

We have offered an exchange upgrade program for decades.  We had to suspend the exchange upgrade program in November 2021 because of the international parts shortage.  We are unable to purchase enough electronic components to be able to offer the exchange program right now.  We do not know what the future will bring; but hope to reinstate the program if possible.

We are sorry that *** ******* did not send his unit in for the exchange in July 2021 when we were still able to offer the program.

      Better Business Bureau:

After a thorough review of Valentines ones business practices and consumer complaints I've chosen to purchase another companies Radar detector. This pandemic has truly shown if companies stand by their customers or products and Valentine one has shown they only stand by their finances.

They've lost a customer for life and I will be sure to not recommend the purchase of a V1 to any of my colleagues or friends.
