      I paid for a room and one night in the castle for the murder mystery event. Everything was dirty but the biggest problem is I was not told before I arrived that there was no door on the room. Just curtains that everyone was able to walk by and peek in. This was not acceptable and people were peeking in our room before they knew it was our room. All the other rooms had doors with locks and keys. Nobody told us we would not have a door or key but told after we checked in that we were perfectly safe. This was all paid in advance with no refunds. This was essentially a storage room (all the stuff for the castle was stored in here with 2 beds). I paid 451.41 for a storage room with no door as a room and there was no advertisement on the website nor when I spoke with the innkeepers that we would not have a door to our room. We didn’t sleep and it was noisy because there was no door. The sheets were dirty, there was water damage and mold on the walls. Cracks in the windows. But why were we the only one with no door. The a/c was broken on the second and 3rd floor (80 degrees upstairs) and they were booked so we could change rooms. Everyone that stayed was not happy because it was so dirty and run down, but at least they had doors to lock at night and we didn’t know anyone so we felt unsafe. Check in wasn’t til 5 so it was too late to go home. At anytime anyone could’ve walked in and stole purses, belonging, or while we were sleeping. It was a dirty storage room.

      The mold is so bad I had to leave and couldn’t even stay the night. When I spoke to the owner she yelled at me and was very disrespectful it was my girlfriend birthday and she ruined it not only with the condition of the room the hurtful stuff she said when trying to tell her about my stay !

      I made a reservation for my husband and I to stay at this “castle” for one night. Upon arrival, we were shocked at its state of disrepair. This place was so dilapidated and disgusting that we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay - we left within an hour of arriving. There was water damage in the ceiling and mold under the windows. It hadn’t been dusted in years. There were semen stains on the shower curtain. The jacuzzi tub was covered in rust and had hairballs in it. There were days old dishes laying around the house. There was debris on every floor and surface. There was no way we were eating breakfast as we could only imagine the state of the kitchen based on the rest of the house. The owners never replied to my messages requesting a refund. They are stealing from people with their false advertising. They removed our comments from their Facebook page and blocked people from rating them there too. I would appreciate my $188.57 back as the place was uninhabitable and we did not stay.
