The summer of 2021 my daughter reached 15.5 years of age. We researched both AAA and Neff Interstate to find the best option for her to obtain her driver's education. A question we asked upfront was the expected wait time for completion m AAA was 6 to 8 weeks from beginning until end and Neff advised approximately 2 months. We decided Neff was ok. My daughter started her class in October/ November and that went fine. They said to wait patiently as they was finishing up the previous class before the driving part begins. November rolls through with no contact as we waited patiently. In the second week of December I finally called them and was advised they was starting her class driving and she was a month away. December finishes, January finishes with no contact. I call at end of January and advised she was 9 th and 30 days out. Bear in mind my daughter turned 16 in February and is eligible to get license. I called again mid February and advised she was 8 th and 45 days out. Not sure how we gained a person and 15 days in front of her? I've now called the last two weeks and today was she is currently 9th and they don't know when she will get to drive as they only have one instructor for Chillicothe. This girl has a job and has had one for 10 months, if we knew they overbooked themselves we would have never went to this local Drivers School. Every 16 year old wants to drive, not wait until they are 16.5 because of greed or poor planning by the business.Business response

Thank you for contacting our office. She signed a contract with us on 10.25.21. Our contract allows us to complete the training within six months. She completed her driver training on 3.16.22. We hope she does a good job driving and stays safe.Customer response

I accept the resolution only because I promised my wife. Business owner was very unprofessional talking to my 16 year old child about parents submitting this complaint. Stating things such as "I don't blame you for what your parents did" "Your parents shouldn't have done this". First it was not appropriate to talk to child about adult things, second I teach my children as consumers we have the right for protection and after all else fails the BBB is a consumers voice.
Second the business owner in her response never addressed that we was told 2 months but it ended up being 5 months. Her response was always she had up to 6 months to complete. This was never a question, but when told initially it would take 2 months and ended up 5 months she seen no problem with that.
Finally on Wednesday March 23rd I called the driving school at 9:05am. I was told my daughter was 5th in line and was a few weeks out, at 240pm I get a call from the school advising they was surprised I had filed a BBB complaint but they had all intentions of starting her driving on this day anyway. Obviously that was a lie from the previous discussion at 9:05am.
Yes the school did complete the driving in 3 days after receiving the BBB complaint, it's unfortunate it took that to get her completed in exactly 5 months instead of the two that was initially told.
I standby my initial complaint, but I do drop my complaint at this time.
