I purchased a home in January of 2023, the came with a new roof from Copper Nails LLC. The contract date is 7/5/2022. April 2023 I got the roof inspected because my insurance company had some concerns about it. Multiple roofing companies come out & tell me the same issues with flashing, drip edge,rotten wood, shingle layout/lifting & ice guard. May of 2023 the roof started to leak. i called my realtor to ask what to do, she had no information on the warranty of the roof at that time. i called an outside company to get the flashing replaced based off their recommendations. Flashing replaced May 26th, 2023 still leaks. June 7th Copper Nails shows up to my home unannounced to inspect the situation. He told the seller that he would provide warranty to everything except the flashing that was replaced. I talked to them through my ring camera but no info/name /number was given and they left. June 10th 2023 the broker send me the contract between Copper Nails and the seller. I contacted them June 10th 2023 to set up a time to come back out when I am home. June 12th 2023 .I found there was no permit pulled for the roof. Copper Nails came June 14th and said it was the gutter and said the new flashing was incorrect. I asked about the lifting on a new roof he dismissed it. He put metal flashing up and said it would stop the leak. It did not I still have an active leak every time it rains. I called & explained that if the roof was covered & protected with ice shield the gutter could be off the home & there should still be no leaking. So I asked for him to have the city inspector to come out to inspect & get a permit. He keeps coming up with reasons why he will not. Because i replaced the flashing, he wants to redo the flashing but last time he came he nailed some lifting shingles down which i feel is him trying to cover up mistakes. The contract between him & the original seller included a permit. I want permit and assistance for the repairs from the damages.
