      My ceiling fan broke on July 2nd. I called that day and left a message that the cord broke and needed to have it fixed, but since it was a Sunday, you were closed. My brother, ****** ******, called on Monday and spoke to someone. She told him that it probably wouldn’t be that day someone comes out, but either Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday was the holiday, so I didn’t expect anyone to come out. Wednesday, still no response. Thursday? No response. Called again on Friday and spoke to someone saying that our unit (**** ********* *) was next on the list and someone was on their way out THE SAME DAY. No one showed up. Called again today (Saturday July 8th) and no one answered. Several messages (5 points of contact to be exact) have been left with no response, call back, or maintenance arrival and nearly a week later, my ceiling fan is still not working.  It has been EXTREMELY hot and humid recently and the air conditioner only stays on for so long. With this extreme heat and my underlying health conditions that worsen in extreme heat, I can’t even sleep in my own bedroom because the temperature difference is that significant. We pay too much for this unit for the leasing office and maintenance to drop the ball the way you are.  I understand we are not the only unit out here that needs assistance, but I do not appreciate being told that someone will be out the same day and there is no follow through.  It’s only getting hotter and it’s going on 7 days now without being able to sleep in, let alone just be, in my own bedroom.       We lived at Windsor apartments 11/2011 - 7/2012. We fell behind on rent and refused to work with us. Evicted us and sued for remaining rent. Ok, fine. Then they add a lengthy list of fees: cleaning carpet, cleaning blinds, changing light bulbs, etc. They added additional fees of $2000+. Tried sueing us for new amount of over 4k. They were granted this. From 5/2013 - 11/2019 they charged 3% interest. Bringing amount to $6960. For 12 years they've been taking on interest, adding other fees, several garnishment attempts on past employers until finally in 6/2023 managed to get our wages garnished. Are they that hard pressed on 12 year old debt? Do not ever rent from them. Management is rude, maintenence hardly fixes things when promised. And if you move out, they will make up charges and charge for stupid things like replacing bulbs, fire detector batteries, vacuuming, etc. And they will hunt you down and haunt you for rest of your life until they get their money plus extra amount. It's going on 12 years and 3 months since we moved. And we're stuck paying $550 a month. I'm going to seek legal council and file a lawsuit. This place is a joke, ruthless, blood sucking crooks.

      If the residents lived in the suite from November 2011 to July 2012, they breached the terms of their lease. They were evicted for failure to pay rent. The eviction process can take several months, so without having the file in front of me (due to its age), it would seem that they stopped paying rent perhaps in April 2012. As the lease is at least a 12-month lease, they would be held responsible for the remainder of the rent, should the suite not be re-rented prior to its expiration date. In addition, any charges assessed above rent would be for damages to the suite upon their vacation of same. As for what has happened with their account in the meantime (since they vacated), the files where monies are owed are turned over to our collection attorneys, PFL. Seeking legal counsel should have been done in 2012 when they were evicted, not in 2024, when the collection attorneys were successful in garnishing their wages. We expect our residents to honor the terms of their lease. These former residents clearly did not do so.
