On 10/31/2023 I took my car to tire 200 and I called them first to even ask can they do the work I needed to be done! They informed me yes I took my car there to be checked on to see why my car was running hot they claim they fixed it and I was able to come pick up my car the car was doing the same thing it was doing when I first drop it off so I bring it back to them leave it again within 15 mins I get a call from them and tell me my car won’t start I never had a issue with my car not being able to start and they give me this i Don’t care attitude they actually laughed in my face and refunded me my money back they didn’t try to resolve the issue and figure it out they claim it wasn’t there fault and it was in there possession., the man told me cars do that and it’s nothing they can do., the next day mom and brother went up there and they was rude to them as well. Telling them they didn’t have to talk to them and I was satisfied with there work well I wasn’t and this is ridiculous that this has happen!Business response

The customer brought in his 2011 Subaru for an overheating issue with a visible leak near the front of the car. We fix overheating issues regularly. We found two hose clamps that were defective and causing the leak from his radiator hose. We replaced both clamps and refilled his system with coolant and allowed the vehicle to burp out any air in the cooling system. The thermostat allowed circulation and the cooling fans activated several times as they should. The vehicle was test driven and the temperatures were within normal ranges. The customer was only charge $75.00 plus tax for this repair and he picked up the vehicle and paid his bill. The customer later returned and stated his car was still overheating. We told him we would take another look at the vehicle and further diagnose what was causing it to overheat. A short time later the technician went out to the customer's vehicle and could not start the vehicle. The customer's vehicle had previously had the factory ignition replaced with an aftermarket ignition cylinder and generic new key. The original ignition key was also on the keyring so that the car doors could be locked and unlocked. The aftermarket key only worked the ignition. The technician noticed that the vehicle was experiencing an issue with the theft lock system which is directly related to the aftermarket key and ignition. The customer was notified that the vehicle does not start and he said he would come to the shop to help get it started. The customer arrived and could not start the vehicle. We explained to the customer that we do not work on ignition issues and that in order to diagnose the overheating issue the car must be able to start. The customer was upset and since the overheating issue was not resolved by us upon our first attempt, the customer received a full refund of the $75.00 plus tax. He was given his keys and informed us that he would have the car towed away the next morning. We offered to take another look at the overheating issue once the ignition issue was resolved, but the customer declined. The next morning, the customers brother and mother arrived at our shop and wanted to discuss the previous day's events. I informed his mother and brother that we refunded the customer his money for the overheating issue and that he would have to take the vehicle to a repair facility that works on ignitions. The brother was loud and argued that we broke his brother's car. I explained that we didn't do anything to the car to cause the no start issue. He wanted to continue his heated point of view and I told him that we concluded the issue with our customer, his brother, yesterday and that I did not want to discuss the issue further with him in front of other customers. Thankfully, they agreed to leave without causing any further disturbance. Regrettably, we didn't solve the overheating issue during our first attempt, even though we solved his coolant leak. Unfortunately, we do not service ignition systems. Thank goodness nothing else stopped working on his 2011 Subaru while it was at our shop so that we could be blamed for that as well.
