In September 2021, BBB contacted Bacterial Testing and Prevention Group regarding claims in its advertising.

Its website has several claims related to the health benefits and effectiveness of its products and methods relative to pathogens and allergens, including:
"Homes that are clean, odor free and come with a certificate of sanitation, sell for more money and spend less time on the market!"
"Reduces allergens, molds, bacteria and pests. With sanitizing, we lower our risk for food borne illness, allergy symptoms and asthma attacks."
"Think of residual as a coating where the product is left behind and is only removed by wear and continues to fight germs and viruses."
"Our hospital grade disinfectant can kill even one of the toughest to kill, c. diff, in 2 minutes."
"Indoor Allergy Relief Within 6 Hours GUARANTEED!"  "Our proprietary Xtreme Vapor™ molecule is an oxidizing free radical and it reacts with several amino acids that make up proteins.  The vapor bends and breaks these proteins and causes them to be non-functional. Your body no longer recognizes the allergen. So now when you breathe in that allergen deep into your lungs, it does not unlock that lock anymore, it basically does not fit the lock, so you have no allergy attack! You no longer have an allergy attack inside your home, business, automobile, etc. or your allergy attacks are greatly reduced after our allergen treatment is complete. Also at its website are claims that state its products are "eco-friendly," "people and pet friendly," provide "a safe environment for your family and pets," are "made with botanical, non-corrosive, non-staining, 100% organic, highly renewable and biodegradable ingredients" and "so safe that you can bring your kids and pets back in right away."
Advertisers should not make broad, unqualified general environmental benefit claims like “green” or “eco-friendly.”  Advertisers must qualify general claims with specific environmental benefits and the benefit(s) should be significant. Such claims require competent and reliable evidence (often scientific evidence) to support all environmental benefit claims.  The business did not provide the requested supporting evidence.

The business also states its allergen control services "have a 100% hundred percent guarantee. If our system does not work for you, you pay us nothing."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term guarantee in advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the guarantee can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location or viewed on the advertiser’s website. Any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.  The business did not add the terms of its guarantee to its advertising.

Its website states "All our products are sourced and produced here in the USA."  “Made in USA” and similar terms used to describe the origin of a product must be truthful and substantiated.  The business did not provide the requested substantiation for this claim to BBB.

The claim "Lowest Cost Church Disinfection Service In Cleveland" appears at its website.  Because it is difficult to keep up with the prices of all competitors at all times, lowest price claims should be avoided.  Such claims also require substantiation.  The business did not provide the requested substantiation or modify the claim.
