    We had the worst experience on the Good Time III and will NEVER return, whether for a field trip or personal interest. We strongly advise everyone to avoid this boat. Upon arrival, Cheryl C********, the office lead, was extremely rude at the window. Despite having paid our money and submitted all necessary information beforehand, we were treated poorly. Cheryl even mentioned in an email that "the payment might have gone to her boss because that happened something," which was confusing and unprofessional. Once on the boat, my well-behaved students were unfairly targeted. While other schools were talking, playing around, and singing happy birthday to one of my students, the owner, Rick F****, who I’m sure will see this message, singled out my kids and told them to be quiet. He later went around the boat addressing other groups, but only after realizing his mistake and trying to do damage control. Despite admitting that my students were well-behaved, his initial actions left us feeling angry and unwelcome. I was so angry and miserable the entire ride that I couldn't wait to get off the boat with my students. To avoid ruining their experience, I hid my frustration from them. However, all the chaperones and teachers who witnessed this disaster were equally upset. This was by far the most unpleasant field trip experience I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and find a better option for your outings. If you decide to attend after this review, I hope you’re treated better. This was the worst experience!

    Thank you for your feedback - as you are aware there was miscommunication at the window upon check-in - there was no issue with getting your students and teachers aboard as your district is very good about payment. Your co-teacher and our office lead were in communication throughout the reservation process, and she is aware of some of that confusion from the get-go. I was never questioning not allowing your students to board. The issue was we were not notified ahead of time that there would be parent chaperones. Channels got crossed, miscommunication occurred and after the field trip I approached your co teacher and apologized to her and informed her that the check for the students had arrived. I also approached you and tried to apologize. We also talked with some of the students who enjoyed being on a big boat and we spoke with a parent. We regrettably apologize for the miscommunication at the ticket office. As for the boat, we do communicate with all districts via email and an announcement from the Captain before the departure of the cruise the guidelines while on your school is on board. We also go around during the first hour of the cruise to remind teachers, students, and chaperones to please keep the noise to the minimum during the educational/narrated portion of the cruise. We also remind all teachers and chaperones on the ship that students are not to be roaming the ship freely without supervision. By no means was your school the only school asked to remain quiet during the narration. Captain Rick as well as other crew members were also asking all schools on each of the four decks to remain quiet on more than one occasion. We apologize if you felt you were singled out, but you truly were not. We appreciate your feedback and will be connecting with your district and other districts in the off season to ensure all schools are aware of our school field trip policies.
