Premier Pools of Cleveland is the worst possible company to do business with. Their overall poor quality workmanship, absolute flippant attitude toward fixing problems and lack of attention to detail are absolutely unsatisfactory and if you choose to use them as your pool builder expect nothing but problems, excuses and then they will disappear. Their concrete installer, Vladimir ******, had an inexperienced crew and the overall schedule of the project led to massive errors in the cement work. First, the pool pump pad was framed using cardboard from our recycle bin to keep the base layer of gravel in place and is teetering on the edge at best. The concrete coping forms were placed on the pool before the cascade was installed, resulting in a huge amount of silicone caulk to fill the gaps under the uneven cement that goes up and over the cascade. The poor coping installation also allowed cement to get under the coping in some areas leaving a jagged half inch to one inch area of extra cement under the coping and will never be correct for the life of the concrete. The only fix is to remove all the concrete and redo the project. The install required two cement trucks and the first mix was acceptable. The second mix arrived “hot” and water was added to that mix to keep it from setting. Not being a concrete professional I was not aware of the issues he was creating at the time. Having talked to multiple professional concrete installers since, this mix should have been rejected and the massive discoloration is a result of adding water to a hot mix. Premier Pools is VERY careful to word in their contract that concrete discoloration is not their fault – it is like they know they do shoddy work and will result in terrible concrete work. The skimmer basket finish work is abysmal as well. It is set at an extreme angle (again not correct) and the top finish is again jagged and crooked.
