I attended the May 2024 Ghana Tour. As an avid international traveler with extensive solo, group, and military travel experience, I must say this tour exceeded my expectations. It was my first trip trusting someone to handle my accommodations, activities, and transportation, and I was extremely pleased with how well everything was organized and execute. They were committed to our comfort from start to finish. The tour was meticulously planned, and the tour manager demonstrated exceptional knowledge about Ghana. His time management skills were impeccable, ensuring we made the most of each day. Our bus driver navigated the roads impressively, and the tour aide was always attentive to our needs. The photographer captured beautiful moments, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. He made sure to videotape or capture each of us during every activity. We were treated to a hot breakfast every morning. Each day, we enjoyed at least two activities, providing a rich cultural experience. Our itinerary included significant cultural sites like the Kente Museum, where we saw how Kente cloth is made. We later stamped Adinkra symbols. I felt a strong connection to the Sankofa symbol (always return to your roots). Visiting two slave dungeons/castles and the Slave River was a moving, life-changing experience. We also explored local markets in both Accra and Kumasi. Safety was a priority throughout the tour. As someone well-traveled, I felt particularly reassured by the presence of our local guides who spoke the language and had extensive experience conducting tours. They flanked us on both ends, so we never had to worry about feeling unprotected, even though we felt completely safe at all times. Our accommodations were comfortable, with newer beds and onsite restaurants that offered a variety of fresh and delicious food daily. The hospitality of the Ghanaian people, coupled with the efforts of the tour staff, made every meal and stay enjoyable.
