first let me say that I have been a customer of this company for over 20 years and we always pay well in advance for their service. In May they came out to open my irrigation system. while they were here I noticed they had missed a sprinkler head, so I mentioned to the technician that they had missed one. he said to me there wasn't a head there. I told him again, that I'm pretty sure there was, but he left without checking. so about 2 weeks later we noticed standing water. we had originally thought the cable company had broken one of the lines, so we had them come out and check. however they found (while we stood there watching) that there was a sprinkler head that was not popping up....the one I had told the technician was there. so I called Husney to come out again to compete the job they should have completed 2 weeks ago. Not only did they check this head, but the different technician kicked the ground in another area and found another head had not popped up. this is what they are supposed to do when they come out each year...they check they are all popping up and working properly. When they presented me with a bill, I refused to pay it because I told Gayle (I believe the owner) they not only should have done their job completely when they were here in May, but I had also told the tech that there was a head in the exact spot where he said there wasn't one. So several weeks passed and I got a refund check for shutdown services. when I inquired with Husney why I got a refund (after 2 calls to them) Gayle had office personnel call back and say they cancelled my contract due to the unpaid bill. This is pretty lousy customer service, treating a long-standing, good paying customer. As well as very unprofessional on Gayle's part to not return the call.
