So in February I applied to Bexley Park and I ask the lady was it going to be a long wait because they were dealing with somebody going into a eviction and I waited patiently 2 month to actually see the apartment and when I went it wasn’t what I expected and I had asked for a apartment with a basement and I didn’t get them they tried to give something else and when I called today and yesterday the girls that answered the phone told me both days that I could get my 100.00 back for the processing fee and mrs Phil’s told me that I couldn’t so I’m confused at this point and very upsetBusiness response

Ms. **** was informed on 2/18/22 that the unit did not have a basement. on 2/23/22 @ 9:39 am Ms. ******* confirmed she was approved. 3/7/2023 Ms. ******* confirmed that she was still interested in the unit and she said yes. On 3/24 she was informed of the move in acceptance sheet and the amount needed to move in. on 4/12/22 she said she wasn't able to move in due to not being paid until 5/6/2022 and we moved her date to 5/6/2022 at her request. Ms. **** walked the unit on 5/4/2022 at 1:30 p.m. and called on 5/5 at 3:54 p.m. to cancel. Her application states If the rental application is approved and the holding deposit is paid and she fails to sign the rental agreement and occupy the apartment immediately upon availability that the holding deposit will be applied toward lost rent, advertising costs, re-rental fees, etc.
We are not returning the holding fee as it was outlined in the application that she signed and dated 2/18/2022.
