I reached out to Gorman's on the work on August 9th 2021, provided the claim information on August 10th 2021. On August 13th I followed up to see when it was going to be picked up. On August 16th it was picked up. On August 31st they told me I needed to “light a fire” under State Farm because they weren’t getting back to them and that day they reopened the claim after they called them. I waited over two weeks to follow up and they told me they needed to get ahold of them again because they hadn’t done anything after they sent the estimate. On September 20th they sent me a copy of the estimate and were ordering parts that day. I believe that estimate showed 4 or 5 parts in total. I followed up a week and a half later and they told me the parts were on order, but nothing had shown up yet. I waited another week and a half and followed up. They told me some of the parts came in. This was on October 1st 2021. A month later I followed up and they said parts still hadn’t come in yet., but on October 3rd they told me three came in and they were waiting on two more. On November 30th, they told me there was still a part remaining to come in. They told me on 12/13 they were going to get the body damage finished and painted. On 12/16/21 they told me they were working on it. I followed up again on Jan 4th and they said it would make paint that week and be ready in a week. On Jan 15th they told me they had some sick employees and only had one employee for a couple of days and it would be finished that week. January 26th they told me the brake lines still need ran. On the 28th they told me the running boards need installed as well. On February 7th they told me it would be finished that week with no excuses. On Feb 21st they told me it would be ready at the end of the week. Then came back on the 24th and said that not only would it not be ready, but that the running boards still weren’t there, lines weren’t done, and that there is still body/paint work that needed done. 8 months.
