      I booked an appointment for a full balayage through the Phia Salon (755 N. High Street, Columbus, OH) website. The following day, I added a haircut to the appointment. Though the website claims the stylist would contact the client before the appointment, I was not contacted. When I went to my appointment, I confirmed with the stylist that I wanted an ash brown balayage. I had a balayage done at another salon in March 2023 and I wanted to get the service again, but with a different color, ash brown. I showed inspiration photos to the stylist who suggested that the color was too light and she also suggested that I get traditional highlights as she thought it would give me my desired hair color. I was in the salon for more than 4 hours and left with a hair color that was no where near ash brown. Four days after the appointment, I contacted the salon to get in for an adjustment to get my hair color to ash brown but was given the round around for 5 days and the issue is still unresolved. After communicating with the Operations and Guest Care Manager for Phia Concepts Salons who insinuated that I did something to my hair to make it red instead of ash brown, I asked for a refund, but only for the color. Multiple times I offered my availability to stop in the salon for an adjustment and the Phia Salon team has not booked an appointment for me. I do not know why this situation has snowballed the way that it has. I simply wanted to get my hair color to ash brown which was my goal before, during, and after the appointment. The Phia Salon site has a statement that they "guarantee their work and to contact the salon as soon as possible if the end result is not perfect. I did just that and am going around in circles with a group of 3 from the salon, including the owner, Elizabeth. I think a mediator may help us through this. I have never had this type of experience at a salon and since this is an upscale salon that charges exorbitant prices, I expect more.

      The situation with Philosophi/Phia Salon & Salt Spa remains unresolved.  I will go the legal route after one more attempt for resolution.
