On or about 3.15.2021 storm team replaced our roof in ************ ** ***** ****************. We recently discovered a water ingress issue that is the result of improper work by storm team, which is covered by their warranty. In particular the shingles and sealing done near our front window is not according to their standards and has lead to our water ingress issues. After several requests to have storm team come out and honor their warranty and solve the issue they, they still have not done so. This period of time has amounted to approximately 6 weeks with no resolution. My complaint is that storm team has not honored their warranty and must be held accountable to resolve our issue.Business response

Storm Team Construction was obtained to complete roof and siding repair on my house in May of 2021. The roof repair has been completed but i was informed that they had to find the siding to match the color of my house. I reached out to them in February 2022 to see where they were with the siding and was informed that they thought everything was completed already. I informed them that the siding repair/replacement wasn't completed. I was advised that they will sub-back the amount for the siding repair/replacement. They sent me the form to sign for the sub-back amount on March 3. As of today April 4, 2022, I've emailed and called on numerous times asking for the status of the sub-back because I need to get the repair/replacement done as it will be a year coming up soon. I still haven't received any indication as to what is going on because they will not return my calls or respond to my emails. This very frustrating at this point because i just need them to return the amount so that I can get the job done.Business response

Storm Team made many attempts to immediately contact this customer and was finally able to reach them. Our customer is now aware and very understanding that we are not able to issue a refund for funds we aren’t currently holding. We have completed the roofing portion of her contact and have sub-contracted back to her the work we will not be completing. Our roof contract totaled $7,769.03. We have only received $7,903.91 in payment, leaving only a small current refund amount of $134.88. It is standard operating procedure for Storm Team to not issue any refunds until we have ensured our portion of the claim is closed with any related insurance companies. The remaining funds our customer wishes to have refunded or issued to her for the completion of the siding for her property remain with her insurance company as Storm Team was never issued payment for that work. Storm Team is working with our customers insurance company on her behalf for the release of any remaining held funds for the portion of the work that will not be completed by us.Customer response
